This is a YouTube video titled "Lucky vs Fortunate: Understanding the Difference #moneywisedoctor" created on August 1, 2024, discussing the distinction between being lucky and being fortunate, emphasizing the role of personal decisions in achieving financial independence.
Well, you use the word fortunate, and I'm glad you you used that word rather than the word lucky, because there's nothing lucky about you. You know, you've made the decisions.
What's the difference? Unfortunately?
Well, the lucky implies that some something has appeared for you, whereas fortunate means that you understand that your position is different to others. What you've actually done is made decisions throughout your life that have provided you with additional income streams that mean that you are in a position where you don't have to go into work every day if you don't want to. And that's a different thing. There's a big difference between being lucky and being fortunate.
Being fortunate.
