Move shares outside your ISA to realize up to £3,000 in capital gains before April 6, then buy them back inside the ISA. You get a fresh £3,000 allowance each year, and future gains stay tax-free inside the ISA.

I see a lot of people investing £20,000, £30,000 in a regular account. What I did is that I sold off all my shares that were not in an ISA and bought them back in an ISA. So of course by then I was going to incur capital gains, but remember there's a £3,000 capital gains allowance per tax year. So if you sell just enough to take £3,000 in capital gains, the next day, April 6th, you have a new fresh allowance that you could also you know, sell just enough to get. So these are multiple options, but it's a tax efficiency hierarchy. I haven't used up all their ICE allowances. Why? Not because they're not smart, but nobody has ever highlighted it or pointed it out that clearly for them. That's the whole point of being in charge of your finances.
