This is my son's toy car. It's not mine. My actual one, I was on the phone today to the garage, calling them to arrange a service. You know, I've been putting it off for weeks. I just felt too busy. But today I had to ring again because you can only put these things off for so long. If you skip a service, at first nothing happens. You might even skip more than one. Then small signs start showing up. It's easy to explain away when you start hearing funny sounds, but eventually something serious forces the car to stop and you're dealing with an emergency. By then it costs far more than the service ever would have. And that's how systems work, whether it's your health system, your financial system. Small scheduled maintenance prevents the big expensive kinds of failure that then becomes very expensive. The same with your health, the same with your financial well-being. Most doctors don't have a system for regularly checking their tax efficiency and finances. They wait until something forces the issue. Maybe it's an unexpected letter from HMRC, brown envelope. Or it's a big tax mistake that can only get harder to fix the longer it's left. Or some allowances that you miss and you've missed them forever. So what I've done is that I've built a checklist. It's an ABCDE scorecard that can actually walk you through systematically through all the areas of tax efficiency. It's simple, straightforward, using my ABCDE approach, which I talked about in my book, The Money Wise Doctor. It gives you a score. So it's a proper preventive checkup. It's better than an expensive cure. Look, it's genuinely free and it's already been used by about 1,000 UK doctors. If you comment score, I'll send it to you totally for free.
