In this impassioned video, the creator (Speaker A) announces a submission to the Lex Fridman podcast to discuss the future of mental‑health systems, the history and ontology of psychiatry, and how current legal, economic, and psychological structures perpetuate misunderstanding of the mind, consciousness, and soul. Drawing on personal experience—returning to his childhood home in New Jersey after a 51‑year “hero’s journey”—he critiques how the term “psychiatry,” originally meaning the animating spirit, has become conflated with pathology and psychopathy. He calls for a radical, crypto‑inspired decentralization and democratization of psychology, urging listeners to tag Lex Fridman on X and LinkedIn, share the mission, and help make the conversation mainstream. He also promotes a crowdfunded docuseries (already raised ~$30,000) that will document his journey and a New Jersey pilot for a reimagined mental‑health system, inviting donations, collaborations, and broader public support.

Good afternoon, fellow friends, change agents, amazing people out in the world, and of course my readers and subscribers. I don't think I've ever made a video like this, and I'm just going to be short. Um, today I just sent a submission into the Lex Fridman podcast and I've always loved this podcast and really grateful for it and always thought how amazing it would be to sit across from Lex and have a conversation about the future of mental health systems change and the history of psychiatry a little bit and the ontology that, um, is really at the root of how mental health, mental illness, the mind, consciousness, the soul are all, um, understood because everything that we do downstream, whether legal or law, or for instance, the woman who has been in the news recently for murdering her children, um, our civilization has been on a steady path where we don't really understand these things very well. And then we compound those mistakes and misunderstandings by building structures Psychological as well as economic and legal structures that perpetuate the mistake that we've made, and that causes a lot of trauma and harm and violence. And it's been a long time coming that this needs to change, and I'm looking to do that. And there's a lot of good things happening around the world. There's a lot of good things happening in my life, and I feel like— Finally, after 51 years and my hero's journey traveling all around the world, I've ended up back in New Jersey, back in the home I grew up in. I'm DoorDashing in the bedroom that I grew up in. So there's a part of me that's been struggling with, uh, that reality when I've got so much wisdom and life experience to share and solutions and a network of people. That I'm a part of. And all of us deserve a voice, and we have earned the right to criticize, to create, and earn the right to be righteous, and earn the right to transform our anger into art and activism and change, and no longer wait for policy change per se, or wait on investors per se. It's time to, as crypto has shown us, take the middleman out of subjectivity, of story, and decentralize and democratize psychology and psychiatry and the psyche. So I'm here to call psychiatry home. As Bucky Fuller said, I'm not here to fight the current system. I'm here to create something, to co-create something that obsoletes what's not working. And the word psychiatry comes from psyche. It meant the animating spirit within us. It meant our soul, the breath. And over time, through the evolution of humanity, the most precious thing in the world has become known and associated with psycho— psychotherapy, psychosis, psycho being a psycho, a psychopath. Can you imagine, like I said, the most beautiful, precious thing in the world, our souls, our animating spirit, in postmodern civilization is most associated with psychopathy and pathology? And that's just really not acceptable anymore. So I'm asking my readers and I'm asking my friends to please consider going on X and going on LinkedIn And tagging Lex and sharing about the mission or what you might resonate with. And let's see if we can get this unusual suspect on the Lex Fridman Show, um, and really put this conversation and the change that we can create on the map. It's time to make it mainstream. It's time to call in the billionaires and the people around the world who have A connection and a personal experience, a mother, brother, sister, father, friend who may be experiencing perceived mental illness, the terrible situation where people have lost people to suicide. This doesn't have to be this way. We have enough on this planet and enough understanding and enough resources to completely reimagine and rebuild within a few years a completely new mental health system. And it's starting in New Jersey for me because I live here. But like I said, there's a lot of beautiful people around the planet, and I'm connected, and we're all connected, and I want to help us all get to where we want to go. So if there's anything you'd like to do, please contact me. If you can go online, please share. I do have a, a crowdfund up. If you want to donate to that, you're more than welcome. I didn't make this video for that, but I have gotten up to $30,000 already. So this docuseries that I'm gonna make about my journey and about the collective of us going into a mental health reformation is happening. And, uh, the more money I can raise, the better, obviously. So I'll put a link in there if you'd like to see that. I'll put some links in this post to what I'm up to and what's going on in New Jersey. I've got a beautiful use case, uh, of what's going on in New Jersey that can't keep happening and how we can make it better. Thank you for listening, and thank you for anything that you might offer to this dream. I appreciate it.
