In this YouTube monologue, Muhammad Umar introduces and interprets Imad Mishtaq’s recent white paper on the "Intelligent Internet," a proposed AI‑native, decentralized web. Umar outlines the paper’s four core components: (1) creating a "bitcoin for the intelligence age," (2) gifting every person a sovereign AI, (3) enabling permissionless coordination of intelligence, and (4) anchoring the system on a shared inheritance of knowledge. He highlights the concept of "proof of benefit," a reward mechanism that measures real value contributed to the network. Umar argues that software engineers, with their expertise in data, AI, and blockchain, are uniquely positioned to become "intelligence miners" in this emerging ecosystem. He urges engineers to read the plain‑English white paper (or use tools like NotebookAlum to convert it to a podcast) to prepare for the next five to seven years, when such an intelligent, decentralized Internet may become mainstream.

Lately you have been really inspired by Imad Mishtaq vision. So can you explain what is the intelligent Internet? So Imad Imad is a computer scientist and a mathematician. Bangladeshi British mathematician. And the. I don't know if you know about stable diffusion, it's a text to image AI model. He's the founder of stable diffusion. So he came up with this incredible idea of intelligent Internet. It's a very recent paper, I think somewhere in July he wrote this. Where it's at the core of this paper is this new form of Internet which is at its core it's very decentralized and which is AI native. So let me share the screen, can you see the. So if you see this paper. So it's published on July 24th and there are some very important concepts here. I mean I'm not going to give you a complete walkthrough of what this paper is but the master plan lies around four key components. Number one is building a bitcoin for the intelligence age and then gift every human a sovereign AI and then scale that intelligence into permissionless coordination and for this anchor everything on our shared inheritance of knowledge. But the core part of Imad's work even in the stable diffusion is and with this intelligence Internet is decentralization. How can we build universal AI? How can we decentralize the Internet? These are the core themes and there's a concept which Imad has mentioned in his paper is proof of benefit. Like what does it take for us to be rewarded by a system where we actually somehow measure how we've created an actual real value which is called proof of benefit. I think this is a very powerful idea. So I would recommend every software engineer to go study this paper. It's written in a very plain English, if still it's hard just give it to notebook alum and it would turn it into a podcast. But I think if you really want to see where we are heading in next five, seven years probably there's a very good chance then some form of this Internet would be dealing with. And Imat also talked about where every one of us would eventually be an intelligence miner. And I think this, I mean I talk to a lot of software engineers and they ask like what's our role in this new AI world? I think, I think the best, the people who are in a, who can really jump into this can jump start their career into the AI world are probably best suited are these software engineers because they know how data works, they know how these concepts of AI and blockchain works. And I think they are in an ideal shape to be truly an intelligence miner for this new wave of Internet. And so I would recommend everyone go study this white paper by math.
