In this career‑advice video, Natalie Fisher argues that a college degree alone no longer guarantees a high‑paying job for new graduates. She cites a Time Magazine statistic that 85% of recent grads move back in with their parents, highlighting a competitive market where many degree‑holders still struggle to find fulfilling, well‑paid work. Fisher introduces a method she calls “opportunity stacking,” which involves proactively generating multiple interview opportunities each week to take control of one’s career trajectory. She warns that relying solely on a degree can jeopardize a graduate’s future and urges viewers to adopt this strategy to join the top 5% of earners. Fisher promotes a free downloadable resource, the “Ultimate Situational Interview Guide,” which provides ten common behavioral interview questions, fill‑in‑the‑blank answer templates, and step‑by‑step examples. The video concludes with calls to download the guide, watch related videos, and engage in the comments.

So in this video, I share why a degree won't get you the job you want and what will. So stay tuned. The biggest problem, the biggest mistake that people have these days is thinking that once they've got their degree, they think that they're pretty much set and they can just go out and get a high-paying job. It's going to be no problem. And I totally understand this. I get it. I get it. I've had many clients who've been told this in the career centers. They've They've been told, oh, you're going to get a job, no problem, don't even worry. So everyone tells you this. They tell you that a degree is your ticket to getting a good job. So it's easy to fall into that trap and believe that's all you need. But many of my students do get told this and then they realize it's actually not as easy as they thought. And maybe this is you. So then when they do get out there, they realize that it's actually taking a lot longer than they were led to believe. And what's more, let me ask you, does Does everyone who has a degree have a great job that they love, who's paying them well? No. In fact, you're facing a competitive market where everyone else also has the same degrees like you do. And Time Magazine is even saying that 85% of new grads are actually moving back in with their parents. And this means that you could actually be hurting your career if you don't learn the skills to put your degree to use. And these are completely different skills than what you learned in school. So how do you get into that job that you want? How do you basically guarantee that you can do this after you graduate? Well, I'm going to introduce to you a technique called opportunity stacking. And what that means is you can stack opportunities to generate an abundance of opportunities all at one time instead of waiting for the ones to come along that are available. So opportunity stacking, it puts you in charge of your career, it puts you in charge of the positions that you can accept, and it puts you in charge of the opportunities that you can line up and how many. So So for example, using this technique, you could be lining up 3 to 5 interviews a week. 95% of new grads right now do not have the skills that they need to actually land the dream job that they want. So yes, they're smart, they've got the abilities, but they don't have the skills to actually get them from point A to point B. So believing that all you need is your degree could end up costing you. It could end up costing you your career. It could end up costing you big time. So I don't want to see any more new grads working at Starbucks. So let me ask you, do you really want to risk your success by continuing to hold on to this belief that a degree is all you need and not have a real plan in place? By not using opportunity stacking to set yourself apart for success right away, you're going to end up potentially like many of those new grads, like the 85% that have to move back in with their parents. So it is totally possible to be in that top 5% who see explosive salary growth and great in their first year.
