Don't fall for this fallacy when in your career it is the downfall of many people

Hiring managers don't care about your checklist of qualifications. They want to know you can deliver the results they need. Most candidates get rejected not because they lack credentials, but because they never explain how they'll solve the employer's actual problem.

Hi. So people don't actually want what they say in the job description. Okay? That's not actually what they are looking for. So they might say, I want five years experience, somebody with a degree. You have to have this, this, and that, and the other. And I can prove to you that's not actually what they want. What they want is somebody who's going to help them achieve a goal, somebody who's going to help them create a result that they want in their business, in their organization. Just like When I'm selling a program or I'm inviting someone to work with me, they don't want 3 videos. They don't want like, they don't want like a certain amount of videos or a certain amount of worksheets or a certain amount of work to do. They want a result, right? They want a feeling. They want like certainty. They want confidence. They want the result that that's going to give them. They don't want the actual thing Like they don't want those things. So it's like if you are talk like if you are falling for that fallacy of oh they need those they need that experience they need those years of experience or it's like no it's if you think you can help them achieve the result that's what's important okay so I can also prove this because many people do this very like so many different ways so I could help you achieve a result with my my program for example it's weekly coaching it's um A series of videos, it's got a workbook, it's, it's a proven process lots of people have gone through. However, someone else might be able to help you achieve that result in a different way, right? It might just be an online course, no coaching. Um, like there's all these different ways of how they do it, right? And lots of different ways could help you achieve a result, right? It's a matter of which one you resonate with, which one you like, which one you're excited about, right? And so same when we're interviewing job candidates. When they interview somebody, they want to create a certain result, and maybe several of the candidates could help them create that result, but it's about which one they are excited to hire, to get to, to work with, to create that result with. Okay? And that is not going to be you unless you realize it's not those actual line items that are important to them, right? It's not the specific amount of years of experience. It's not the specific certifications or degrees. They say that, but what they actually want is the result. that they're trying to get. And when you figure out what that is and you can explain to them and talk to them about it in a way where they resonate, they are going to be pulled towards hiring you much more likely than if you tell them, oh yeah, I meet all these expectations, I meet all these skills and criteria, because lots of people do and lots of people get rejected even without interviewing because they already meet that skills and criteria, right? So it's not about job description and the line items. Don't fall for it.
