In this video, I'm going to share 6 steps for exponentially increasing your confidence in job interviews. So stay tuned. Identify what you're feeling. What is the feeling that you're feeling? And identify it and give it a name. So is it uneasy? Is it nervous? Is it jittery? Is it self-conscious? Is it uncomfortable? Is it afraid? Is it fearful, etc.? Identify the cause of your feeling. Become aware of your thoughts. And what's triggering those feelings. So what are you thinking? The reason you're feeling the way you're feeling is because of the thing that you're thinking. It's the sentence in your head that's making you feel that way. For example, here are some common ones. I'm not really qualified for this job. I'm afraid they're gonna see that. There are so many other better candidates than me for this job. Who am I to deserve this job? Am I not gonna get it because I didn't get the last one I went on? What if they don't like me? They're not gonna like me. Interviews are a waste of time. If I act too confident, they're gonna think I'm arrogant. So take notice of how those thoughts make you feel. Notice how when you say those things, or whatever the sentence in your head is, it makes you feel the feeling that we talked about. Maybe uneasy, nervous, uncomfortable, etc. Then notice how the feelings control how you show up. When you feel this feeling, That feeling controls how you actually show up and how you appear when you get into the interview. So it dictates how you perform in the interview and how you handle yourself. And if you're feeling those feelings of unworthiness or uncomfortable, like it's a waste of time or you're not qualified, then you're going to show up differently. How you show up dictates the results that you're going to get. So when you show up like this, you don't get the job. Your thoughts get confirmed and then you get worse and your confidence keeps going down. rather than going up. And you start to see more evidence of what you were thinking being true. So you were like, yeah, see, I knew I wasn't worthy. I knew I wasn't going to get it. And that's when you have to stop yourself because that's what's causing you to not get the next one. For example, if you were thinking I wasn't good enough, then you'll be like, see, I knew I was never going to get it. I knew there were more qualified people than me. And it becomes true, even if it wasn't or it didn't have to be true. So change the root cause of what you're thinking. So how do you change this? By changing the root cause, you change that sentence in your head and the thought you were thinking around it, which has caused how you felt. In the next video, I'll be talking about how to choose more confident thoughts and give you some examples of what confident thoughts look like versus self-conscious thoughts or uneasy or uncomfortable thoughts. So check that out. It's called How to Think Confidently to Get the Results You Want. So before I go, I want to share a thought that can ignite your self-confidence. So I don't have a ton of outfits, so I'm going to be wearing the same outfit in some of the videos over and over. And I know that lots of YouTubers, they change their clothes like every video, and I just don't have that many clothes. I'll probably go shopping at some point, but for now, if you see me wearing the same outfit, it's because I just don't have that many clothes.
