In this short video, Nathan Payne recounts his first real estate wholesaling deal, where as a brand‑new negotiator he and his partner over‑offered a seller’s asking price ($180,000) by proposing $186,000. The mistake nearly caused the deal to fall apart because they struggled to find a cash buyer at the inflated price. Fortunately, they managed to assign the contract to a buyer for $205,000, netting a $19,000 profit. Payne uses the story to illustrate that even inexperienced, poor negotiators can still close deals, and he invites viewers to join his Facebook group for deeper negotiation training.
