Q2 Success Blueprint: Achieve Your Life & Business Goals in 2024 | Payneless Planning Expert Guide

In this 90‑minute YouTube presentation Nathan Payne energizes viewers about effective goal‑setting for Q2 2024. He begins by stressing the necessity of planning in 90‑day cycles rather than annual or lifetime horizons, explaining that reverse‑engineering from a clear vision enables concrete actions. Payne then introduces his free "Painless Planner," a printable system that structures a life plan around a personal vision, mission, core values, and strategy, and mirrors this structure for a business (vision, mission, values, strategy). He walks through how he personally uses the planner, showing his own binder as proof of practice. The core instructional content is a four‑part framework: Objective (what you want), Key Result (how you’ll measure it), Habit/KPI (daily/weekly actions), and Initiative (tasks/resources needed). Payne illustrates common failures in goal‑setting—lack of measurability, missing habits, insufficient accountability, and inflexibility—using examples from health, personal development, and real‑estate wholesaling. He demonstrates how to prompt ChatGPT to generate a complete, hierarchical plan: from overarching vision down to quarterly objectives, then to specific habits and initiatives, and how to adjust when metrics lag. Real‑estate examples show how to set a $500k revenue target, break it into sales, marketing, and product categories, and define Q2 actions. Throughout, he emphasizes tracking (paper or apps), weekly reviews, dopamine from checking off tasks, and the need for alignment with one’s deeper purpose (spiritual, community, self‑development, health, business). He closes by offering the planner for free, inviting viewers to join a community for accountability, and urging consistent execution over vague aspirations.

Like, I, I print out my planner. I plan my days. I have, I have a nice little binder and I plan out my life. You can't even really see it with the lighting, but anyway, I plan. All right, and, and down here, if you guys look at— I'm gonna take this little camera down there. Yeah, those are I've been planning for a while. So anyway, that's a lot of my planners down there. So that's not to like brag, I'm just saying, hey guys, I know what I'm talking about when it comes to planning, and I'm going to teach you how to do it. All right, so let me share my screen and let me show you what you get by just going to Painless Planning. I'm not trying to sell you guys anything, um, just— it's free. All right, you can all get that for free. So Nathan Payne's Painless Planner, I use this myself, I made it. It comes with a table of contents. It tells you exactly what everything's for, but we're gonna scroll down. It just explains how to use the planner. So how do you start planning? Whether it's business or for your life, you have to know where you're going, okay? Now, if you look at most businesses that are successful, I would say all businesses that are extremely successful, they have a mission statement. They know where they're going. They know what— their employees know where they're going. They're directed by core values, by a vision. There's a vision that the, the leader has and everybody's trying to achieve it. They all rally around it and there's a strategy behind it. So you want the same thing for your life and your business. So I'm going to show you guys pers— like, this is the per— how you use it in your personal life, and then I'm going to show you how you can use it in your business, is because it's the same thing. So you have a life plan, you got to start with the end in mind. So a vision, okay? So you have to have a vision of what you want, Okay, my vision— everything that I do is like spiritually, uh, like based, or like that's basically what I want to become. I want to be like Jesus, right? So everything— my vision is to go to heaven and be returned to God, um, because I believe that's the purpose of life, is to return to meet God after living in this life. My mission is to be like Jesus. My core values are to be charitable, knowledgeable, and be diligent to love. Like, that's what drives me every day. And my strategy, well, it's pretty simple. Jesus taught everybody what they need to do in order to follow him. You need to keep the commandments. So for me, it's, it's religious-based, but that doesn't have to be for everybody. That's just what I believe. So my mission, my life plan, it's easy to know what I want to accomplish, and I have to center all the things that I do, they have to align with that, right? So I break down my life into what I want to achieve in my life into 5 different categories. You got your spiritual, your community, your self-development, your health, and your business. So if I want to be like God, right, if I want to like be like Jesus and be perfect, then my business needs to align— my goals for my life and my business need to align like with that. So whatever I do in business, whether it's fix and flip, whether it's, uh, you know, I start a grocery store, it needs to be aligned with— is it serving people? Is it loving? Is it giving back? Is it doing good? That's, that's kind of what I mean. And for health, like I want to be healthy so I can serve others, so I can help others. That's, that's the goal behind my life of health, right? And then you just name it. So that's, that's what you're— you got to want to know. Now, I talked to one of my friends that his life, one of his visions or mission was to live on a farm and hang out with his family. He wanted to, like, raise animals. Okay. So that's kind of like that was his mission is he wanted to have a place where he could go and spend time with his family. He had core values. So everything that he had needs to align with that in his life. Now, when it comes down to— that's, that's a big thing, right? If you're like, okay, I want to, I want to be like, I want to be perfect, for example. How do I do that? If that's all you stop and you're just like, well, that's what I want. That's better than not knowing where you want to go. But I break it down into, well, what are you going to do this year? What are you going to do this year to accomplish your goal of being perfect or trying to be the best person you can be in your spiritual life, your community, your self-development, health, and business? So for me, I broke it down. Well, let's just take it to self-development. I want to be wise. I want to be knowledgeable. I want to be smart. So when I like talk to people, I can help them and I can serve them, right? So What do I need to do this year in order to improve my knowledge? Well, my goal this year is, uh, well, let's look at it. I want to— let's see where it goes. I should already know, right? Because I do this every— I read this every day. So mine is to read 42 books this year. If I want to be wise and smart and knowledgeable and help people, I feel like I need to read. I need to be able to get knowledge. So self-development is to read 42 books a year. Okay, so that's the year goal. And if I break it down into quarters, which is the next thing that you would do, is you would break it down. You'd say, okay, my objective for self-development is to, um, read 12 books this quarter, because 12 times 4, 48, right? That's actually the reason why I said 42 is because I'm— I didn't read as many books in the first quarter. But anyway, so you'd say My goal is to read 12 books this, this quarter. And how am I going to know if I did that? That's what a key result is. The key result would be I got to increase the amount of time I read a book from— I was reading 40 minutes a day, now I got to read it. If I'm going to read a book a week, I got to freaking read a lot, right? So I said 2 hours. That's the goal. Um, that's what I'm trying to do. And then you have habits. You have specific things you need to do daily. These are like the actions, the measurements, the habits, the KPIs you need to do. And that would be, well, I need to read 2 hours a day in a book. And every time I read 2 hours a day, I would check off on a list. And then you have your to-do list of like, what books are you going to read? Okay, I'm going over this pretty quick, but I'm going to explain it more in depth. I'm just showing you guys that when you set goals, you have to know where you want to go in your life, right? You got to start there with a life plan. You got to reverse engineer it to your year. What are you going to do in the year to get you closer to your life goal? And what are you going to do this quarter and 90 days to get closer to hitting your year goal? All right, now the reason why most people fail— the reason why most people fail at hitting goals is because this is how most goals are set. Let me stop sharing my screen right here. Most goals are set like I want to lose 20 pounds, right? That just— they, they say, I want to lose weight, so I'm gonna run. But that's like, that's, that's not like a complete way to set goals. Because if you just say that out loud but there's no way to track it, if you're not like tracking, okay, I'm running every day, and you're holding yourself accountable, um, or if you don't— when you say I want to lose weight, that's not complete. Like What do you mean by you want to lose weight? Do you want to lose 5 pounds? You want to lose 10 pounds? That's not a complete way to like actually get to that end in mind, that goal, um, because it's just not complete. And I think the way people have set goals is they have— they look at it two ways, right? They have like a lead measure. This is what they call in The Four Disciplines of Execution. They have a lead measure and a lag measure, right? The lead measure is like running every day, and the lag measure is, uh, I want to lose 40 pounds. Most people focus on they wanna lose 40 pounds, and if they don't really focus on what's required to get to that point, they'll just say, "I wanna lose weight." So if they go run on a treadmill for 2 weeks and they don't see results, they just stop 'cause they don't understand that it's really the lead measure. It's the thing that the habit, the activity that they're doing every day that actually translates to the goal that they're hitting. But again, they just focus so much on the end result that you don't really see results on the end result after doing the activity for such a long time. Okay, so let me, um, let me show you guys how I use ChatGPT to help me set goals, and it's going to blow your guys' mind because it blows my mind that it can even do this. Um, and we got Mike on here. Micah, thanks for watching. I'm gonna show you, you're gonna love this. So let me share my screen really quick for you guys so you can see what I'm talking about. So the way that goals are set up, the way that I like to do them, is you have an objective, okay? You have something that you want to achieve, okay? It's the what, all right? It's what, what do you want? What do you want to do spiritually? What do you want to do, uh, in your health? What? Then you have the key result. It's the how. How are you going to achieve the objective? Like, how are you going to measure it? It's got to be measurable, right? Right? Then you have the KPI, the habits. There's so many different names for it, but you have the habits, the actions, the measurements, the things you have to do daily. It's the things you have to be consistent at that you can do them daily, but you might not see a result for a long time. But you know, as you do it, you will see a result. It's just not going to be immediate. And that's why people fail with goals, is because they focus so much on the, the what and not so much on the, uh, like how they're going to achieve it and what is going to determine like the measurement, right? And then they also think that the task or the initiative or the to-do list is going to get them the objective. They think, oh, if I go get a gym membership, then I'm going to lose weight. When they've— the gym membership was like a to-do list, like I just got a membership, that doesn't mean you're gonna lose weight. So there's, there's 4 components to hitting any goal. Okay, and I know this because I, I've just, I just hit like a ton of goals in Q1 all through this framework. Okay, and the reason why I'm talking about health in the beginning before we go right into business is because it's easy for everyone to understand. So let's look at— I asked chat, I asked ChatGPT, I said, hey ChatGPT, using the framework of objective, key result, um, habit, and what's, uh, initiative, help me create a a way to lose weight. So the objective, like I showed you guys right here, the objective is, it's not to lose 20 pounds, like that's not the only objective, it's to be healthier. That's why you really wanna lose 20 pounds. You don't wanna just lose 20 pounds, that's not like, who cares about that? You're doing it because you want something. You want to feel healthier, you wanna feel better, you wanna be able to breathe when you're walking up the stairs. So you wanna achieve a healthier weight. That's, that's the what, that's the objective. Okay. And lifestyle. So you wanna achieve a healthier weight and lifestyle by losing 50 pounds, 15 pounds in Q2. So then you say, okay, that's what I want. Now, how do I measure if I accomplish it? You wanna know if I do these things and I actually hit 'em, does that translate to me hitting that objective? Well, let's see. ChatGPT says this is what you have to do to know if you actually hit it, okay? If it's— if you measure it, you lose 5 pounds each month of Q2, totaling 15 pounds. So if you measure your weight, if you get on that scale every, every quarter and you say, oh, I lost 5 pounds, you know you're getting closer to your objective of feeling healthier. This gave me 3. I usually just like 1 to stay focused, but, uh, you can also, as you're losing weight, you can check out your body fat percentage. And you can increase stamina by being able to run 5K without stopping by the end of Q2. Okay, so I think we can all agree here that if I was able to lose 5 pounds or 15 pounds in the quarter, 5 pounds per, per, per month, reduce my body fat and increase my stamina, then I would feel like I achieved a healthier weight and lifestyle. Okay, it equals, equals out, but that's not enough, right? That's not enough just to know these two things. The next thing, again, the thing that most people don't do and they're not consistent at, which actually enables you to hit your goal, is the habit, the action, the measurable, the activity, the KPI. That is what everyone misses out on. Like, for example, I want to be a billionaire, but in order to become a billionaire, what are the habits? What are the things I have to do? Well, there's a lot, right? And the things I'm not doing right now, or I don't have the capacity to at this level of my life. But that's what people miss, right? They, they feel like they, they know what they want, but they don't know what they need to do. And that's what we're going to get into business in a little bit. But let's talk about habits. So this is what is really important, and this is the misstep. Um, so let's go— oh, okay, there it is. So the habit: engage. So this is what you got to do daily: engage in at least 30 minutes of physical activity every day. So at the end of at the beginning of every day, you can engage in 30 minutes and you check that off. And you know, if you check that thing off, that you've done it daily for, uh, a whole 90 days, you are going to see the key results. You're gonna see the measurements improve, and you're gonna achieve your goal. You're gonna have to improve your nutritional habits, okay? You're gonna have to, um, replace one processed meal a day with a whole food-based meal, or depends what you want to do nutritional-wise, but you're gonna have to change your nutritional habits. And you're gonna have to drink more because half the time you're hungry, it's just 'cause you're thirsty. I know that 'cause I'm always hungry, but then I drink and I'm like, oh, I was just thirsty. Interesting. So that's how habits come into play. And then you have initiatives, okay? Initiatives are the tasks that need to be done so you can hit your goal. Like, Join a fitness program. Okay, that doesn't mean you've hit the goal, everybody. That just means you're getting closer. You got to get a meal plan going. That's not— you haven't even gotten close. You're not doing the habits, but that's a to-do list you can check off. You can track your progress and you have educational initiatives, right? You can learn more about health. So that is how you set up achieving anything you want in this life. It's this framework. And it, it works, I promise you. If you do the habits and then you measure if the habits are working— and this is a really cool thing— is most goal setting is not very flexible. But what you can do is if you're doing the daily habits of running 30 minutes a day and you're eating, you're replacing one meal, and you're not seeing the results that you're, you need to see in order to hit your goal, you can pivot and you can say, well, look, I'm, I'm running 30 minutes a day. Maybe I need to run an hour. So you increase your habit. You're like, well, I'm replacing one processed meal a day with a whole base food. Maybe you need to do two. So that's the thing with goals is like you can pivot, and that's business. Business is always pivoting. If you're like, hey, I need to set 100 book calls or talk to— go on 100 seller appointments, and that's not getting you the result you want, you you can say, well, maybe I need more appointments, or maybe I need to improve on my appointments closing because I'm not very good at closing people. So that's why it's so important to track this stuff too, because if you're just like I was when I first started my business, I was just like, I want to make a million dollars and I'm just going to work really hard. And that was all I did. And I would just work hard, and at the end of the year I'd be like, well, I got close, or I didn't get close. You know, and you'd throw your hands up and be like, all right, let's do it again. But that's not— you don't have to live your life like that. Okay, so I want to show you— let's relate this to real estate. All right. So if you want to master the process of being a wholesaler, right, sales process, this is what it would look like. This is an example. I said, hey, chat, I want to master the sales process in wholesaling. So it says, okay, that's your goal in Q2. So how are you going to measure if you've measured your master closer now? Well, you've closed 20% more deals. If you can say I've closed 20% more deals in Q2 than Q1, yeah, I would say you've mastered the process or gotten better at it. You want to increase the average profit. Let's say my average wholesale fee was $10,000. Now it's $15K. Congrats, you got better at negotiating. You've reduced the time, uh, from initial contact to deal closure by 20%, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. You, you get the idea. You're able to measure if you're hitting that objective. What's going to help you hit that? What's going to help you get to that point, guys? Well, you got to practice. This is, again, this is— I'm going to hammer on this because this is what people forget. They forget that it's the habit, the actions, the measure— measurables. That's what you have to do in order to hit your objective daily and be consistent. You gotta practice daily. You wanna be the master of sales? Well, you're gonna have to do role-playing daily, okay? Most sales programs will say salespeople aren't born, it's a skillset that's made through incremental deliberate practice. It's true, anyone can be good at sales. Weekly learning, consistent follow-up, okay? So those are habits that you would check off and say you're doing daily. Initiatives. Okay, what are you going to have to do in order to even get this process going? Well, you don't have a sales training program. How are you going to practice it? Well, you need to go buy one. Um, you don't have a mentor? Go get one. The— I mean, it goes on and on, right? Um, so let's see, I had another thing. Uh, let's see. All right, I'm giving you guys— I'm just giving you examples so you guys can see how this works. Let's go back to here again. Goal setting is set up by knowing what you want, how you're going to measure it, what you're going to do, and the tasks and things you need to get started. And you also need to know why you're doing it, because it's going to get hard to stop or stop doing some or start doing something and stay consistent. You got to remember why, right? So guys, I really would like— I want to get smart, I want to be smarter, I want to read more. So I go to chat and I said Hey chat, I want to get smarter. What do I do in Q2 with the objectives, key results, and, um, what is it, uh, habits and initiatives model that I'm showing you guys? I just asked that. Sustainable— sustainability— sorry, substantially expand my knowledge base and enhance critical thinking skills. So what do I got to do, chat? Read and summarize 12 non-fiction books, uh, books focusing on various subjects to broaden perspective. So I know If I read, according to this, 12 books in Q2, thus I will be smarter. I'm going to gain more knowledge. Well, what I got to do to read 12 books? That's your habit. Dedicate 30 minutes a day to doing it. Allocate time each week to actively engaging in learning other material and reflect on it in, in my journaling. Okay, well, dang, I want to read 12 books. I don't even have 12 books. I don't own 12 books in this scenario. I have, I have books. Well, that's an initiative. That's something you're going to need to do. You're going to need to go get a library card or you're going to need to get a list. You're going to have to engage with other people that are smarter than you. Like the list, the list of to-dos, you can go on and on. But I hope you guys are kind of getting an idea of— and I'm going to show you guys how cool chat can be towards this. And I'm actually going to show you that it can do the whole thing for you. Okay. And where what you need to do is you need to take action with the habits, right? Because if you can come up with the plan and you just need to take action on it. So the problem— again, I'm going to go back to this— the problem with goal setting that a lot of people have had is there's a lack of measurability. There's a lack of being able to determine, okay, is this goal really helping me get there? That's why key results, the way I've structured and have this for you guys, you can measure and see that this is actually working. Because most of the time People like, I want to get— I want to lose— I want to be jacked, right? I just want to be jacked. And that's like their goal, but they don't know how to measure it. Like, they're not like, oh, if I can lift 500 pounds over my head 10 times, that's, that's going to get me there. And then, you know, they don't break it down into these little things. So you have your objective, your key result is the measurable, and there's a lack of measurability on most goals. There's a failure to plan for action. Again, most people set the objective They're like, oh, I want to lose weight, but they don't get the gym, the gym membership. They don't set the, the meal plan. They don't plan ahead. Okay, that's what the initiatives are for. The initiatives are there to plan so you can accomplish the goal. Underestimating the importance of habits. I personally believe that habits is the hardest thing, or the— not the hardest thing, but it's the thing that most people miss, right? It's the daily consistency that they're not doing. So for example, if you want to build a YouTube channel that's crushing it. That's a great goal. I want to, I want to make a YouTube channel and make tons of money off of YouTube. Okay, well, that's great. How are you going to measure if you, if you made a YouTube channel that's amazing? Well, what does amazing mean to you? 100,000 subscribers in a year. Okay, well, there you go. There's your measurement. That's the key result. What's the habit? How are you supposed to get 100,000 subscribers in, in, in this year? Okay, well then you got to post consistently, make amazing content, target a specific niche. Okay, well dang, I don't know what niche to do. There you go. That is your to-do list. Go, go research a niche and go for it. So that's, that's how you can do it just quickly off of content. Lack of accountability. That is the most, I would say, like I just said, habits are the most important thing, but all this is important. Accountability is huge because if you're not writing down or tracking, like, let me show you right here. If you're not tracking how you're doing like this on a piece of paper or on like an app, like, you guys see that? I'm marking yes, I'm getting that dopamine when I say yes, and when I don't, I don't feel like— I'm like, dang, I mean, I need to step up. You got to be accountable. And obviously you can get a mentor, you can get people, but most mentorships don't hold you accountable like as well as you can. I know that because I've joined tons of mentorships and, you know, the main mentor, like, he's, he's busy. He's not going to just— okay, did you run today, Nate? Okay, that's something you need to do. You need to keep track of how you're doing for your goal. And, uh, yeah, you just need to know what it is so you can mark it off. Um, the need for flexibility, like I told you all, if you realize that your habits are not contributing and not moving the needle for your key result, for your measurement, You need to get the heck— you need to increase what you're doing or change, change what you're doing. You need to reflect on— that's the cool thing about the planner that I have as well, is I reflect on my, uh, key results and my, my goals every week. I, I sit here and I ask myself this question on my weekly planning. I say, what progress did I make this week? What is the thing slowing me down? And what's the thing that can help me 10x my goals for next week. I reflect every week. It's called the review of your last week. By the way, this planner, everybody, you can go look at it. It's free at painlessflipping.com. You'll get it emailed. But you need to be able to reflect and see how you're going in your journey and if you're off course or you're on course. Okay, continue on like why, what's difficult about goals, isolation and goal pursuit. Um, if you're trying to do too many things, it's gonna be tough. You gotta be focused. That's why in my— when I set goals, I only have 5. I know it looks like a lot, but these are just like questions you ask yourself. But I have 5 per quarter: one in spiritual, one in community, self-development, health, and business. And then obviously when it comes to, uh, my actual business that I have, I actually do this for my business. I have 4: marketing, sales, product, personal. Okay, 1, 2, 3, 4. All right, so another big problem that I was talking to chat about and I wanted to make sure is lack of seeing it, right? Like, you don't see your goals that much. That's why I look over mine every day, just to make sure I'm on the right track. Um, missed opportunities for adjustments, diminishing accountability, difficulty in celebrating milestones. You got to celebrate, but how are you going to celebrate? You got to reflect. You got You got to know where you're, where you're at. So I want to show you guys how I use chat again to do this and for my business. Okay. And I think this will help you because I think most of you guys that are watching this are probably in a wholesaling or real estate business. Again, I use this for my personal life because this is how it helps me to achieve my goals in all the different categories that I think life is built, built of. So let's use chat. So I told you guys that, um, in a business, just like in your personal life— I'm gonna just show you— so you have your vision, your mission statement, your core values, strategy, and the 5 things that make up, uh, your personal life, right? Spiritual, community, self-development, health, and business. So in, in business, there's pretty much 3 categories that I think, um, make up business. Yeah, marketing, sales, and your product and offer. That's pretty much what makes up business. Okay, um, so you have your ultimate vision, you have your business goals, then you have your quarter goals. And, uh, yeah, that's— so that's how it's broken down in business. So I'm going to show you guys how ChatGPT is going to do this, and I've already done it. I'm just going to show you it live, and then I'm going to show you, uh, I've already— I already have it set up for you. This is what Chad already did. If you guys don't use this feature on your Macs or whatever computers you have, you should. I'm going to show you how I don't like typing as much, but I just talk to chat and it tells me exactly what I need. So check this out. I go to here to start listen so I can just talk to text, and this is what I do. Will you make me, for my wholesaling real estate company, a complete breakdown starting from my company vision to my yearly goals, all broken down in the categories of sales, marketing, and product/offer? And then break it further down into quarter 2. So I know exactly what I need to do in order to become one of the greatest wholesaling companies in Utah and make $500,000 this year. All right, let's see what it does. It should, it should. I've already practiced this. It should just whip it out according to like the, the, uh, like what I prompted it to do. So let's see. So I wanted to come out with a company vision, just like the structure that I showed you. It comes with the yearly goals: generate $500,000 in revenue by becoming one of the leading wholesaling companies in Utah. So it breaks down into the categories of sales. What do I need to do? This year, well, okay, close deals totaling $500K. Key results: increase the number of closed deals by 30%, improve blah blah blah. So it's missing a couple things. I'm gonna have to tell it to, to, to redo it. So give me a second. Please redo this and make sure when you're setting up the life plan of the business that you go over not only the vision, the mission, the core values, Oh shoot, I forgot to turn this thing on. Sorry guys, please redo this. And when you start, start with the company vision, mission, core values, strategy, and break it down into categories of sales, marketing, and product slash offer. Then break it down into me trying to achieve $500,000 in my wholesaling company this year, and then break it down into the strategy— nope, categories of sales, marketing, and product/offer. Then help me break this down into how I'm going to achieve this goal for quarter 2 using the structure of objectives, key results, habits, and initiatives, and plan this all out for me so I know exactly what I need to do in order to hit my goals for my business. Okay. This, this should do it. All right, let's blow you guys away because right here I'm just giving you the plan on how to accomplish. Now, Chad might not have the exact answers, but you can plug and play, right? It's just giving you the format. All right, so if you don't know what your company vision should be for a wholesaling company, this gives you a decent idea to be the leading real estate Wholesaling company in Utah, renowned for transforming the way deals are done through innovation, integrity, impeccable service. Okay, that's a good vision to have. What's their mission as a wholesaling company? Empower property owners, investors by providing exceptional wholesaling services. What's going to guide you as a company to be the best of the best? Integrity, innovation, excellence. How are you going to do it? Your strategy is going to leverage technology, build relationships, strong relationships, and continuously expand. All right, so now that we know where the company's going, what are we gonna do this year about it? Well, we're gonna try and get— we're gonna make $500,000. I just picked $500,000. It's whatever, you can change the numbers wherever you want. So if that is the, the goal for, um, and it does come up with a goal for every, uh, category, um, sales, marketing, product. So you got close enough deals, establish a dominant online presence, optimize your structure. So this is saying, okay, if you want to make half a mil, Nate, this is what you got to do this year. Okay. And if you do those things, it's going to align with your, your vision and your mission and what you want as a company. So what do I got to do in Q2? What do I got to do in the next 90 days in order to hit this? Well, according to this, your sales objective for Q2 is to increase deal closures By improving negotiation tactics and clients relationships. That would be the main goal in sales. You want to make sure your sales team is just amazing at negotiating. How are you going to measure if your team's amazing? You're going to close deals contributing to $125K. You're going to achieve a 20% conversion rate. How are you going to make sure your team is doing that daily? That's a big goal. And how are you going to do that? You're going to do daily follow-ups with leads, with leads and ongoing negotiations. You're going to make sure your team's having weekly meetings to review progress, and you're going to check that off every time you have it. Just like I showed you in the planner, you're going to make sure that you're saying, okay, we are keeping on track with that habit. Now let's say you go a month down the road and you're like, well, we haven't made $125,000, Nathan, like, but we've done follow-ups daily and we have our weekly team meetings. Then you're able to adjust and say, okay, well, we're doing that good. Let's keep doing it. But it's not moving the needle. Maybe you guys aren't getting enough leads, and then you're able to make decisions that way. And, um, obviously in the initiatives, if you're trying to do sales training but you don't have sales training, get it. Um, if you don't have a CRM, get one. And then it just breaks it down for every portion of your business— sales, marketing. And when I say sales, it's like dispositions and acquisitions. Um, that's why you can have more key results And ChatGPT is not like perfect, doesn't know everything about wholesaling, but it's giving you the structure. Um, and then product, you got to make sure you understand your product, how to analyze deals, blah, blah, blah. So I did that for my company. Um, I, I got the company mission, mission and vision. I got the yearly objectives of the key results and the department objectives, and I broke it down into each quarter knowing exactly what I have to do each quarter. Of the year in order to make half a million dollars. Now, you guys might be like, well, half a million, that's great. Or you might be like, that's not enough. Go make more money. My goal in business is not to have like a giant behemoth, like sales operation where there's tons of people. I want to do that kind of money where it's like me, like a small, small team. I used to make— obviously made more than that, but I had bigger way bigger overhead. So if you want to run a lean company, that's— follow me. I'm trying to run the leanest of the lean because I don't want a lot of overhead. So I hope all of you kind of— I've been talking really fast just so I could get enough of this out there, but the most important thing I want to stress to you guys is like, you gotta track. It's called like Atomic Habits. You have to track your daily actions and your habits because a lot of people, they don't even go that far. Like, they're like, yes, I know what I want to do. Um, like, there's a scripture— I was talking to my buddy Nathan Payne— there's a scripture called faith without, uh, not called, there's a scripture that says faith without works is dead, right? You can believe that you're going to achieve something, you can have the goal and the objective, but if you don't work at it, if you don't do it, it doesn't matter, it's dead. So if you're like, I want to get jacked, great, that's great, but what are you doing about it? Are you going to go to the gym every day? Are you going to lift heavy weight every day? Are you going to track and see if you're going to lift heavier weight as you go? Not just the same weight as it gets easy. You have to do progressive overload. So I want to be a black belt in jiu-jitsu. Am I sure I want to do that? Like, that sounds like a lot of work. Are you sure you want— are you sure about that? You got to practice every day for years until you can get to that point, right? You're not just going to immediately get it. So if you were sitting here and you're like, I want to be a multimillionaire and I want to wholesale, You sure? Because it's going to require a lot of effort. You're going to have to set goals like I just showed you. You're going to have to make sure that you're, you're measuring if you're accomplishing those things and you're tracking those habits. And you, you bring that down to anything in life. I don't care if it's business or spirituality or community or family. Like, you want a great marriage? That's the goal. I want a great marriage, Nate. Great. How are you going to measure if you have a great marriage? Well, I'm going to measure if I have a great marriage. The key result of that would be Well, my wife and, you know, I— what she tells me, she loves me more. Okay, let's just say like that's kind of hard to measure. You have to make it measurable. I don't know. I'm just flowing. But like, what's a habit that you can do to have a great marriage? Well, you can go on date night twice, once a week or twice a week, right? You can give your wife a— you can cook dinner for your wife twice a week or 3 times a week. Those are habits you can do. That you're saying, okay, the measurement, the key result, she's telling me she loves me more, then that means I'm having a better marriage. That's the objective. So I've been talking a lot, and I hope I'm, you know, not blowing too— like, blowing you away and giving you too much info. But I'm trying to dumb this down as much as I can to show you guys that anything you structure in your lives, if it goes into this framework of objective, what you want, how you're going to measure if you're getting what you want, what are the actions that are going to get you what you want, and what are the things you need to get to start the project, or as you keep going, what's going to help you hit the goal. If you do those things and you know why you're doing them, even though when it gets hard, you're going to accomplish those things, I promise. Okay. Um, that's— and the most important thing, I've said the most important thing a lot, You got to make sure whatever you're doing in your life aligns with your vision, your ultimate goal. Because let me give you an example. I was reading Dante's Inferno. I don't know if any of you guys have ever read Dante's Inferno, but I was talking to my wife yesterday and my goal is to read 12 books this, uh, in quarter 2, right? In the next 90 days, 12 books. That's a book a week, pretty much. And I'm like, babe, I'm reading Dante's Inferno and it's boring and it's, it sucks. I don't like it that much. And she's like, why are you reading that book? And I'm like, uh, I, it was recommended on the list on the Harvard Classics. They say it's one of the classics that I should read. And she's like, uh, first of all, if you don't like it, don't do it, right? I don't, I don't really enjoy it. It's kind of boring. And another thing is, does it align with my goals? Is it going to help me get more knowledge. Yeah, I would say it's gonna make— I would say make me smarter if I understand how the, you know, that poetry works, because it's a long poem. But it doesn't really align with the other goals that I have. Like, it's, it's about hell, right? That's what the book's about. So maybe that's not something I would read normally about. I don't really care about that. Um, so doesn't really align. So maybe I, I stop reading that and I read something else that does align a little bit more with what I actually care about in life. Right? And that's maybe I would enjoy it more. So that's the cool thing about, you know, these kind of goals is you can pivot and they should align with what you want. And that's, that's another thing is like I want to be in great physical shape for the rest of my life so I can serve and help and be around my friends and family. So when I don't want to run in the morning or work out every day, Then I'm like, oh, that's why I'm doing this. I'm doing it because I want to be in shape and not, you know, be making it difficult to walk around when I'm older, right? So you, you definitely need to know why you're doing things and you got to make sure they align. So I'm going to wrap it up for you guys. I've been going for a while. This planner that I have for you guys, it is absolutely free. Obviously, I've made it. I created my own because I wanted to customise my own planner and the great thing about this is as you guys get this link, go ahead, make a copy of it and then you guys can customise it however you want. You can go ahead and you don't even have to call it Nathan Payne's Painless Planner. You can call it Jimmy's Planner. You can just change it, it's on Canva. You can change the colours, the designs, you can go to your Let's see, you can go to your daily disciplines of things that you do daily. And I exercise first thing in the morning. You could be like, forget that, I ain't exercising. And you can just delete it and you don't have to do it. These are things that I do every day and I check off when I do them and how long it took me to do it because they align with what I'm trying to accomplish. Uh, but again, this is complete— completely customizable, all right, for all you guys. And this planner Don't get overwhelmed, but it has a lot of, it's a book, right? It has a lot of different things you can use. Like I like to record, like write notes in the back of like friends. I call them a book of friends. I write friends down that I want to go, I want to spend time with, or I want to reach out to, and I pick one a week, okay? Now don't do everything I do, 'cause you're probably like, dude, I don't know how you, that's a lot of stuff. But anyway, it's customizable, all right, for everybody in here. So go ahead, subscribe to pansflipping.com. You'll get it for free. We'll send it to you in like our second email. And to wrap everything up, don't set goals, don't be lazy and just set goals like, hey, I want to lose weight and I'm going to run. And that's as far as you go. Write it down, set your objective. Why do you want to lose weight? I wanna be extremely healthy, or I wanna be confident. That's your objective in health. I wanna be confident. Great. How are you gonna measure when you're confident? Well, I'm— I weigh 190 pounds. I'll be confident when I'm at 160. Great. You're gonna decrease your weight from 190 to 160. That's how you're measuring your confidence in your health. How are you gonna drop 30 pounds? What are the actions you're gonna do? I'm gonna be at a caloric deficit every day. I'm gonna work out every day. I'm gonna drink a gallon of water every day. You're gonna check those things off every day that you do 'em. Well, what do I need to do to even start this? Well, first of all, you don't have a water bottle. Go get a water bottle. That's the first initiative. That's the first task. You don't have, uh, a gym membership. Go get one. You don't have running shoes. Go get some. And then you're off to the races and you're rock and rolling. And through tracking it, you're gonna hit your goals. I promise you, 'cause that's just how life is. It's like a farmer, you know, a farmer just doesn't hope he has a good crop. He actually goes and plants and he waters it daily and he works on it and there's hard times, but he keeps going and he reaps the benefits of his hard work. Unfortunately, the way life is right now, you can, if you want a hamburger, you can get it like in 30 seconds, you know, like people just want instant gratification. And they're not willing to put in the hard work that enables you to hit what you want in life. But if you know what you want, then go get it, okay? And use the Painless Planner to go get it. If you guys like this and you're like, hey, I might need some help, um, DM me because I actually have a community that I'm starting that won't only help people with the real estate businesses, but I'll help you guys set your goals.
