Best way to close the books in NetSuite | NetClose & Studio McGee

My name is Scott Dayhuff. I'm the corporate controller here at Studio McGee. We are an E commerce professional services design company. I've been on the job for about six months and inherited a team that needed some help cleaning things up and making things more efficient. Netclose that houses our reconciliations and our month end checklist. And one of the best features about Netclose is the amortizations within prepaid software, prepaid marketing, prepaid expenses. I can create transactions and amortization schedules and book the journal entries with the click of a button every month. End again, getting me out of Excel and keeping it in the system. I can run reports and quickly tie out my reconciliations can be automatically done for me because of the activity being system based rather than Excel based. So there's no manual journal entries. You click a button, you run the journal entries and then you can review your reconciliations to see if the activity was properly captured. If my team happened to book an entry to the wrong account instead of expensing it, they booked it to a prepaid account and I didn't want that. If it was out of policy, I can identify that quickly because Net Close would flag it for me that the balance was changed in the reconciliation. I can go in, edit the underlying transaction, kick it out of that account, make sure it was expensed or sent to the right account. Saving hours and hours and hours of manual work and I'm still in Netsuite and I can get things done quickly and on time. Yeah, huge fan of the product.
