Nick Hutchison credits Robin Sharma's The 5 AM Club with pushing him to wake at 5 AM and use two quiet hours before his family wakes for high-impact work. He says this routine drove a record month for his venture, Book Thinkers, and helped him escape the fear of living an unfulfilled life.
Chapters
My greatest fear is to live the same week a couple thousand times and call it life. To clock in, clock out, do my work, and not really live up to my potential. My greatest fear is to die at 30 but be buried at 80. And I just reread— actually listened to— The 5 AM Club by Robin Sharma for the 4th or 5th time. Comment down below and let me know if you've read this amazing book. And it reminded me of this lesson. That I am capable of so much more than my current reality. And there are no excuses. I am in the position that I deserve to be in, which is amazing. Listen, I've accomplished goals that I set out to achieve. I thought they would make me happy and they didn't. Now, that's not a lesson of not showing gratitude for how far I've come, because I am so grateful every single day. But I also feel this itch, like this tingling in my spine, that I know I am capable of doing more with my life. And so for the last couple of months, I've been waking up at 5:00 AM. And that time between 5:00 AM and 7:00 AM before the baby wakes up, before my wife is up, those are the golden hours, man. That's where I'm getting so much done. Last month, Book Thinkers had its greatest month ever. Is that by chance? No, it's not. It's because I'm putting in those extra hours to living up to my potential.
