A short YouTube monologue (by Nick Kugelman) reflecting on the speaker’s management style: setting goals and direction, delegating execution while monitoring for slowdowns, creating systems/playbooks, accepting failure as part of learning, and expressing strong personal responsibility with mixed messages about taking credit versus giving it to the team.

I've got to approve every company move. I set goals and directions and I let people own how it's actually done. I'm always paying attention to where people are slowing down. I just totally trust my team to act like adults and if we don't, it's just not a fit. I just expect people to do the thing exactly how I would do it. I just expect my team to find better ways to do things than I would. Nothing pisses me off more than my team failing. Winners lose more than losers. So as long as we're failing and we're learning and I expect failure to be part of the process, I've always got to fix everything. Everything. I just set up systems and playbooks so that most problems just get handled without me. The truth is when we win, it's a hundred percent because of me. I could never do what I do without the people around me and they deserve all the credit.
