In a brief interview, the investor (Speaker B) reports earning tens of millions this year, including a recent $3.6 billion sale of one of his AI companies. When asked by the interviewer (Speaker A) to rank AI companies based on his likelihood to invest in them as of July 2026, he is prompted to provide his investment preferences, setting up a forthcoming ranking of major AI firms.
How much have you made from your AI companies this year?
Tens of millions. One just sold for $3.6 billion.
I want you to rank these AI companies on how likely you are to invest in them as of July 2026.
Anthropic, 2. I'm a buyer. The challenge with Anthropic is when I'm doing security stuff, it won't give me answers to certain questions. That and the cost. That's why I don't think it's number 1 right now. Meta AI, I would go 5, but I'll go 4 just in case you give me a real shitty one. Meta's trying to create an open source platform to take a lot of wind out of the sail of the other companies. I just don't think they're going to be able to catch up fast enough. Google. 3. It's the Apple deal. Distribution. SpaceX AI. It's number 1. Don't bet against Elon. Number 1 constraint right now is data center capacity. He's got data centers he's gonna start building in space. And he just bought Cursor for $60 billion, launched Grok 4.5, which is on par with all the fucking frontier models. At 5, you've got OpenAI. Nah, I mean, it's not a perfect rank. I would have put Meta on the bottom.
