Welcome back, friends. In 10 at 6, we are going to talk about 2 essential aspects of personal growth: confidence and boundaries. These concepts play a crucial role in shaping our lives and our relationships. I have explained to so many people that confidence isn't about arrogance. It is knowing who you are, standing by it, and understanding your worth. In the book, we're going to talk about how positive language and affirmations can help boost your confidence, which is so important if you want to chase your dreams. In Feeling Stuck, I'll introduce to you the traits of confident people also, and there are exercises available in the companion workbook that'll help you identify how confident you are right now, where your boundaries are, and even their origins. And that's kind of fun. You're also going to have the chance to remind yourself of your many positive traits with questions that ask you in what ways you're doing great. Your yes, I can and I deserve to attitude is going to be what keeps you moving forward towards joy and satisfaction. Positive self-talk and proper boundary setting are crucial for positive self-esteem and happiness. And here's the connection. Confidence gives you the power to create and respect boundaries. When you have confidence, you believe in yourself and your values. You know what you deserve, and you're less likely to bend your values out of fear or the need for approval. Where confidence gives you more power to love yourself, boundaries, on the other hand, are like rules that define our personal limits. Setting and enforcing boundaries involves 4 key steps. You've got to define them, set them, enforce them, and respect them. And this is crucial for maintaining healthy relationships and your well-being. So in the workbook, you're going to find an exercise that will help you define your boundary threshold, plus show you how to set it and enforce it while uncovering possible challenges and pushback. If you want to be more empowered, you must have confidence and be able to set and respect boundaries. Likewise, being able to do those things will help you feel more empowered and in control of your life.
