Hey guys, today I wanted to talk to you a little bit about our responsibility for changing our world. You know, this morning I was talking with somebody about values, and a few days ago I held a seminar and I had everybody do this elicitation exercise where what they had to do was determine what the values they had in a certain area of their life, and from there we got to determine if their values met what their goals are. Well, hers were no. So if you've ever heard me talk about mindset before, then you know I believe in the extraordinary ability that lives in everyone. The difference is whether or not you let the extraordinary you emerge, or you allow it to remain trapped behind the walls of doubt, victimhood, uncertainty, fear. You know, during my— any of my mindset transformation coaching programs, at some point we talk about our responsibility for change. Look, I mean, I'm not going to lie, it takes some work to help guide people to see possibilities outside of their comfort zone. But once you learn to perceive the world around you from a place of empowerment, knowing that just by changing your perceptions of your world, which by the way is the foundation of empathy, right, you can really change your reality. And as much as we would like you know, things around us to bend for us. It's really up to us to change our thinking or our environment. So let me give you an example that's really present right now. Yesterday, the stock market crashed to its lowest point since 1987. That is more than 30 years. Well, it makes sense that people who are retired or about to retire are kind of You know, they're kind of freaking out, they're panicking. I totally get it. However, there are a lot of people I know who aren't retiring for decades who are also panicking because they're seeing their portfolio drop. You know, nobody wants to see that. But the thing is, they intellectually know it's going to rebound and they get to choose what perspective they want to see that from. They can panic, they can stay neutral about it knowing it went down, it's going to come back up. Or they could see it like I did, as opportunity, and buy something that's really low that you know is going to rebound. Because now's the chance, now's the time to do that. And even if I didn't buy at the lowest it got, I'm going to look at how much I'm going to gain, not how much I could have gained because it was a few dollars more per share. Look, it's up to each person to choose the way they want to interpret information. Our own perspective is our own. I always tell people, you be you. But you could choose in this case to let the market victimize you or take control and make something positive out of the situation. That is empowerment. And that is where that responsibility of change comes in. Because once you become empowered, it's your responsibility to be proactive in making positive life changes. So allow yourself to be open to all of the abundance you deserve, knowing that you can choose to do it at any time. All it takes is 1 second and 1 decision to make that choice. Have an awesome day.
