Hey oh. Welcome to the 100 RMBA Show. Your business questions answered with our daily 10 minute business lessons for the real world. I'm your host, your coach, your teacher Omar Zenholm. I'm also the co founder of the Hundred Dollar mba, a complete business training and community online and today's episode is a Q and A Wednesday episode. On our Q and A Wednesday episodes, I answer a question from one of you, one of our listeners. If you have a question you want to ask, just email me over at omar100,mba.net Today's question is from Ricardo. Ricardo is listening to episode 151 on when to use squeeze pages to maximize conversions and he quickly sent this question that I want to answer because we just aired that episode and his question is what tools do you recommend to create squeeze pages? It's a solid question, Ricardo. He also notes, hey, if there's something free out there, that'd be awesome. So in today's episode, I'm going to give you my recommendation. When it comes to squeeze pages, which tool is the best? Which one's the easiest to use? Which one's the most cost effective? And if I recommend using a free tool, I get into all that in today's Q and A, Wednesday's episode. So let's get into it. Let's get down to business. So just as a refresher, a squeeze page is a page on the web with the sole intention to get people to sign up to give their email address in exchange for getting your newsletter, getting a free course, an ebook, some sort of value. It's called a squeeze page because it forces them not to click anywhere else other than sign up. There's no header navigation or footer navigation. It's just here's what you're signing up for. Here's the opt in box. Put your email here. Press this button. There are a lot of tools that you can use, tools that are separate from your website, tools that are a part of your website, tools that are simply a plugin on your website. There are a lot of tools you can use. So I'm going to give you my recommendations, what I recommend. I'm going to start with a budget friendly type of person, somebody who's just getting started and maybe has no cash to spend on a squeeze page type of tool. Now if you're running your website on WordPress, which is an open source platform which is free to use you, you just have to pay for the actual website hosting. You can install a plugin called Elementor. It's an absolutely free plugin that has the ability to create squeeze pages. It has a bit of a learning curve, but it's pretty robust. I talked about Elementor before on the show and I actually really recommend going with the pro version, which I believe is $100. It's a one time fee, but they have a free version that can help you get started. Now, before you start looking to switch to WordPress or whatever, you, your website or your website builder may have squeeze pages already built in. They may be called landing pages, it's the same thing. So if you're like on Squarespace or Weebly or any kind of website builder, there's a good chance they have some templates that you can use. I would contact customer support and ask them, hey, do you have squeeze pages or landing pages that I can use? And they'll know what you're talking about or they should and they'll let you know. That's the first thing you need to do to make sure that hey, you might be paying for it already. You now there's a lot of online marketers that like to separate their landing pages from their website, meaning they like to use a separate tool just to create landing pages really quick, to validate ideas or to collect email addresses. One of the most popular ones is Leadpages. They've been around forever and they know their way around a good squeeze page. They have some really good designs. It's easy edit. It's not the cheapest option, but it's also not the most expensive one. LeadPages is probably also the one I would choose. If you're looking for like, ease of use, super simple setup templates that are just kind of ready to go. If you're in a rush to create some squeeze pages. LeadPages is probably your fastest way to get one out there as soon as possible. I also want to mention that your email marketing software might have squeeze pages or landing pages built in as well, so you can use their service that you're paying for anyway to build your squeeze pages. I know that ConvertKit does this in Mailchimp. Now, one thing I don't recommend you do when it comes to landing pages or squeeze pages is custom design your own. It's just not worth it. Landing pages are just quick ways to grab somebody's email in exchange for value and to validate ideas. It costs a lot of money to hire a designer and a developer to create a custom landing page. There's so many tools out there, which I just mentioned, and there's more which do this for you. Which leads me to the next point, which is you want to choose a tool that you like using, that's easy to use because you're supposed to just get in and get out. Supposed to kind of build your page, set it up and forget about it. You're not supposed to be tinkering with it or making it look as super pretty as possible. It's a very functional page, a page that's not supposed to distract anybody and it just serves a purpose. I have a team of developers and a designer on staff that works in our team, and I don't get them to create landing pages. Their time is better suited and better used on our actual product, on the actual software, on our actual website.

So to wrap up today's Q and A, Wednesday's question, which squeeze page software do I recommend? Well, the first thing I recommend is check out what you already have. Look at the services you have, your email marketing service, your website builder. They may already have squeeze page or landing page templates that you can use. You're paying for it anyway. If you don't have one of those services or you're not paying for one already and you want to get started fast and you want to make it easy on yourself. Go with leadpages is what I recommend. If you're looking for something that's low cost, actually it's free and you're on WordPress, check out Elementor. Another notable mention if you're on WordPress is Thrive Themes. ThriveThemes has some really good landing pages. It's an easy, easy WordPress plugin to use. I really respect Thrive ThriveThemes founder Shane Milla as well. I haven't met him in person yet, but I know him online and he does a really good job at keeping the software clean, usable, and he stays away from, you know, all that kind of scammy marketing. Really have a lot of respect for what he does. Well, thank you so much for listening to today's Q and A Wednesday's episode. If you have a question you want to ask, just email me over@omar00mba.net and I'll answer it right here on Q and A Wednesday. That's it for me today, guys. But before I go, I want to leave you with this. The best tool that you can use is the one that you're going to use. The one that is easy to use, the one that gets you to come back and use it over and over again. Not one that's cumbersome or hard to use or complicated or that you have to jump through hoops to use it. That's always my recommendation when it comes to any kind of software. It's only a useful tool if you use it and you only use it if it's easy to use. So make it one of your top criteria. All right, I'll check you in tomorrow's episode. I'll see you then. Take care.
