Omar Zenhom explains why integrations make products sticky and boost conversion and retention. Google Maps embedded in websites, social share buttons, and Shopify apps all work because they reduce friction. Start by adding social sharing or embedding maps into your product.

I'm your host, your coach, your teacher Omar Zenholm. I'm also the co founder of the Hundred Dollar mba, a complete business training and community online. And in today's lesson you will learn why integrations are good for your business. Whether you run a software business, an online course, or sell physical goods on your online store, integrating with apps that people already use increases the likelihood of leads becoming customers and customers staying customers. In the software world, there's a term called a sticky business. Basically it means you want your customers to stick with you because because it's kind of hard to leave because they set things up in a way that they're used to. And one of the ways to do this to have a sticky business is to have integrations. I'm going to give you some examples of how you can start using some integrations or building in integrations into your business. Even if you're not a software company, even if you're selling content or courses or again, physical goods. There's a reason why products like Spotify ask you to sign in with Facebook. There's a reason why when you try to sign up for a course, they'll even ask you, hey, would you like to sign up with your Gmail? Or after you purchase an event, for example, like a concert, they prompt you to add it to Calendar. The more invested you are into the product, the more likely you're going to stay. And that's what you want to do for your customers. So let's get into it. Let's get down to business. In every business niche we have certain types of tools, apps, websites that we Use in the business niche, it might be CRMs like email marketing software like Mailchimp and ActiveCampaign. If you're in fitness, it might be connecting with your Apple Watch. But even if you're just a local business, you're a business that's a brick and mortar that has a website. Integrating with Google Maps allows people to find your store, your restaurant, your brick and mortar faster and easier. So during today's lesson, I want you to take a look at your business, take a look at your website, take a look at your product and see how can you integrate different apps, different pieces of software, different tools to make it easier and more convenient for your customer to interact with you. I just give that simple example of having Google Maps on a website for, let's say, a pizzeria. If I'm going to Pizzeria's website and I'm interested in checking them out, hyperlinking the address to Google Maps is a huge help. I'm more likely to go to that pizzeria now. Now that it's loaded on Google Maps, I have it on my phone and it's telling me how long it's going to take me to get there. I've already committed. Now I'm already down the path of going to this restaurant versus going to another restaurant that doesn't have this option. And then it's a little bit of a pain. Where is that address? I gotta copy and paste it, open up Google Maps. It's more hurdles. And that's just a simple example. Let's say I have an online course, but in my online course, I offer my members a way to share the course and earn some affiliate commission. This is a great way for you to market your online course by those who actually use the course and can give a great testimonial. How having a section in the dashboard of your online course saying, hey, share this course and earn commission would be great. And having some easy to use buttons like share with, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, whatever, allows them to easily share it to all their friends and family, all their contacts. Again, making it easier for them to do what you need them to do. Yes, they're going to earn commission, but if it's too much work, if it's too hard, it's just not going to do it. So make it easy for them. Integrate with apps that they already use, in this case social media. Now we're going to take it to the next level. If you can integrate some sort of integration in your product so that they actually merge one product with Yours, it's going to make it harder for them to leave because they've already set it up and it's working fine. And having to do it all over with somebody else is too much effort and too much work. A good example of this is like help desk software. You know the little chatbots you see on websites or you know, instant messaging? Well, those softwares are actually just installed with a little simple line of code on your website. But once you kind of set it all up and you start using a help desk software, you start getting some emails from customers and tickets and you start to have a history. After six months or so, you got a long history of conversations with your customers. Exporting that and moving that to another system is a lot of work. So you just tend to stick with that company. So take that as a model for your own business, your own products. How can you make your product easy? Just stay with once you set up. Now remember, you don't have to be a software company to do this. Let me give you an example. Let's say you have an E commerce store and you sell clothing, for example. If you can add the option to save the customer's preferences for size, for color, for style, then they are happy with the experience on your site. They're going to go back to you because it's just easier to use. Everything's filtered to their liking. They this is why Amazon's so successful. One of the options they do is they save your actual shipping address so they can calculate shipping for you. You can do that in an ecommerce store as well. Check out Shopify, they got lots of apps for that. If you're a consultant or coach, use the Google apps to make sure that you and your services are intertwined with their account. Send them Google Calendar invites so they accept them and it's plugged right into their calendar. If you have workbooks and worksheets that they have to use as a part of your coaching, create a shared folder that you share with them on Google Dr. That has all the materials while you're coaching them, these little things make your product, your service, your offering sticky. It allows customers to feel like, hey, I'm already using these apps, these tools, with this product, with this offer. It makes my life easier. I don't want to move on and set things up with somebody else.

Easy for your customer it says, hey, we don't want you to adjust. We'll adjust for you. We will do what we need to do to make it easy for you to choose our service, our product. It also forms as a rebuttal to certain objections like, hey, do you work with the things I already use? Is this going to be hard? Is this going to be hard to get started by showing them some familiar names and familiar products that they already used and say, hey, we work with these things. Like, oh, okay, in that case, I know these things can't be that hard. Their customers will vary with their experience and their tech knowledge, so you got to put them at ease as much as possible with some integrations. And again, it helps keep your product sticky and it just makes it easier for them to use what you offer. Guys, thank you so much for listening to the 100 RMBA Show. If you don't know where to start when it comes to integrations, start with something simple like having social share buttons. You can use an app called share this or sumo.com like embedding a Google Maps map right inside your website, like using Facebook as a common system in your blog. All these things are easy to get started with a simple Google search and then you can expand from there, just get the ball rolling and you can move on to the next level. All right, I'll check you in Tomorrow's episode Q and A Wednesday. I'll see you then. Take.
