I'm your host, your coach, your teacher Omar Zenholm. I'm also the co founder of the $100 MBA, a complete business training and community online. And in today's episode you will learn how to market your business for free with Quora. I'm sure you've stumbled upon Quora in a Google search at some point. It's that site where you can post Questions and answer questions. It's a powerhouse of traffic, generating over 600 million visitors a month. And it's ranked one of the top websites in the whole world. This is all good news for you because you can leverage Quora for free to market your own business. I'm going to show you how in today's episode and how you can actually outsource this whole thing so you can do it month in and month out for less than ordering a batch of T shirts or swag for your business. This is going to be an opportunity for you to come in and help people that need your help, that would be interested in your products and services, generating an opportunity for you to make a soft sale. We get into all the details in today's episode, so let's get into it. Let's get down to business. If you go onto google.com and write any question on Google, like, how do you snowboard for the first time, Chances are one of the top ranking results will be a question from Quora. Like I mentioned earlier, Quora is a place where anybody can ask questions and post their answers. It's like crowdsourcing an answer to a question you have. We're talking about millions upon millions of questions here. Now, what's great about Quora is that you can actually sign up for free and answer questions that exist. So you can search your niche, your business. Let's say your niche is snowboarding. You teach people how to snowboard. You have an online program, you have a community. Now, of course you're not going to go into Quora and start spamming people and telling them to buy your course. What you can do is have an honest conversation and be genuinely helpful. People are going to be a whole lot more open to learn more about what you do if you've helped them, and Quora gives you that opportunity. So you could search the keyword snowboarding and look at all the questions that relate to this niche, your niche, and then you can go ahead and answer them. What's cool about Quora is that you can have multiple answers to a question, meaning that many people can answer a question. So even if it's answered, you can go ahead and chime in. What's even more cool is that people can upvote the answers so that if your answer is really good, people, people are gonna appreciate it and yours will be the first one that is shown. You're gonna find hundreds of questions in your area of expertise, so you can jump in and answer those questions, giving great advice. You can even reference some blog Posts that you've written or things like that. My recommendation is when you answer the question, start with some full transparency and say, hey, I'm John Smith, the founder of snowboardingschool.com from my experience, this is what I would do in this situation. So you answer the question, but you introduce yourself so people know that, hey, you are somebody who has a business, somebody that, you know teaches this for a living. And of course, it gives them a chance to check you out. My advice, do not make any sales. Right? Don't try to pitch anybody right now. They'll look you up if they like your answer. That's really how content marketing works. They'll click on your link. You don't have to say, hey, buy my program. It's only this much money, or I have a sale, or here's a coupon code. Do not do this. That's an easy way for. For you to really get in trouble with the community in Quora. People are gonna dislike that. That's too aggressive. So just introduce yourself like I mentioned. Mention your website if you have some references and answer the question the best you can. The better your answer, the more interested they will be to check out your website, sign up for your newsletter, and obviously sign up for your products and services eventually. Now you might be thinking, wow, this is brilliant, Omar, but I don't have the time to check Quora every single day. Well, no problem. You can actually in your account in Quora to get them to notify you via email when there are any questions that relate to the topics you're interested in. So basically they'll give you a notification. Hey, a new question's been asked on Quora about the thing that you are interested in, the thing that you're good at. Now. I'm sure the wheels are turning right now in your head and you're realizing, wow, there's so much power to this and you can actually branch out past your niche. So let's say, for example, again, I'm a snowboard instructor. I might want to be notified about other types of sports because they may mention snowboarding in there. Maybe I want to be notified about skateboarding. Why? Because maybe somebody in those threads or those questions will ask, hey, I skateboard, or I have skateboarded for years. I'm thinking about picking up snowboarding. Is it the same thing? Is it the same skill set? And you can jump in. It could be winter sports, it could be gear, it could be safety or the best helmet to buy, things like that. Go ahead, knock yourself out and be Creative. Now, I know that you're thinking, hey, I don't have time to answer all these questions. There's probably hundreds I can answer every day. What do I do? How do I get this done? Well, my advice is I would definitely start with a few questions yourself, just so you understand the process and what happens here and you know how it's posted. So I would do like maybe 10 answers, answer 10 questions, and I would document this process, document how you're doing this, how you're getting notifications, how you're answering this question, how you're referencing your site, your intro, all that kind of stuff. After you've documented the process, you could definitely outsource this task to somebody else. You can get a very competent virtual assistant for 400 to 500 US dollars to work on this for you. You can check out online jobs ph who hire great assistants, great support staff out of the Philippines, and you can interview them and find out if they have the language skills and the communication skills to do. And basically, you're going to get them to study your website, read every single blog post, watch every single video, understand your content, understand your market, give them a crash course. Give them a month to become an expert at the material you have. They don't have to know it inside and out, but they have to know what's available in terms of resources. And then give them all the things you documented in that process of answering questions in Quora. So every day they're going to go into Quora and they answer questions. And of course they can represent themselves. They can say, hey, this is Cassandra from, you know, snowboardacademy.com and put your VA, put your new hire on your website so there's some credibility here. Put them on your about page, make them your marketing specialist. People want to know that they're actually talking to a real person. People are going to check you out and they're going to check out if this person actually exists. This is the Internet, right? So you can definitely outsource this task. It's one of the easier tasks to outsource if you give them the time to be trained up on what you want them to do. And the longer they do, the more acquainted they're going to be with your subject matter. And before you know it, your company could be a leader on Quora in terms of being helpful, being a great source of knowledge and answers to some burning questions. And all of this is free. The only thing you're going to pay for is hiring the va. So cool.

Ba da ba ba ba.
Oh, could this vintage store be any cuter? Right? And the best part? They accept Discover. Except Discover in a little place like this? I don't think so. Jennifer. Oh yeah, huh? Discover's accepted where I like to shop. Come on baby, get with the times. Right? So we shouldn't get the parachute pants. These are making a comeback, I think. Discover is accepted at 99% of places that take credit cards nationwide, based on the February 2025 Nielsen report. To wrap up today's lesson, Quora is a great place for you to content market to help people that are in need. They're asking questions in your niche. This is the easiest way to have a conversation with people that are perfect for your products and services. And can you do it all for free? Just got to build the system in place. You got to do it yourself for, you know, 10 questions. What I suggest as a minimum document the whole thing. You can even do screen capture or video capture and then hand it over and train somebody on your content and your system. Totally doable. And this person's role can expand. It can go into Twitter and answer questions. It can go to Facebook groups and answer questions. It can go to Reddit and answer some questions. You get the point. Whether you want to sell your course, whether you want to use that course as an opt in as a lead gen. We've had incredible success stories from that program. Before I go, I want to leave you with this. Today's suggestion with Quora is a good one, but you got to get started. You need to carve out some time in your calendar and say, hey, I'm going to spend two hours to set up my account and answer 10 questions and document this process and that's it. Once you do that, just go and go through the hiring process, find a VA and you can hand it over and give them some training materials all up. We're Talking about maybe 8 to 10 hours investment for marketing that you can turn on every day from that point on. Remember Quora's information. All those questions are not going anywhere. They're there for a lifetime. Basically. People can find them. People can search your answers. It's got this evergreen effect that you can't buy with ads. Ads come and go. You pay for them. Once you display them, it's over. Once you stop paying, it's not there. The payment here is the investment of time and organization and training. So make it happen. Carve out the time. Thank you so much for listening and I'll check you in Monday's episode. I'll see you then. Take care.
