And in today's lesson you will learn five marketing blogs you should read regularly. These are five blogs, five websites I highly recommend you visit on the regular. Bookmark these sites to improve your marketing and overall marketing strategy. Some of these blogs have been around for a decade plus and some of these are newcomers. But these are my go to blogs. These are the ones that I actually subscribe to and make sure I'm notified as soon as a new blog post is published. I'm going to share each blog, what their specialty is, what they're really good at, why I visit them, what information do I look for when I go to that blog and how you can incorporate their information, their knowledge into your own business. This is a good one, an important one. Make sure you take some notes and bookmark these sites and visit them on the regular let's get into it. Let's get down to business. All right, five marketing blogs you should read regularly. Let's start with number one, Seth Godin's blog Seth Godin is the father of modern day marketing. I'm a huge fan of Seth Godin's books. The first book I read of his was Purple Cow, which has had a great impact on a lot of entrepreneurs I know and got me into his work and his other books and of course, his blog. I start with this one because it's a great foundation. Seth Godin is fantastic at boiling down complex marketing strategies and ideas and concepts into simple, easy to understand ideas. Things that we can apply, apply every day in our business. His blog can be found at Seth's Blog. That's the website address. Seth's Blog. Now, Seth Logan's blog is daily. Every single day, he publishes a new blog post. And what's lovely about his blog posts are that they are concise, they're three, sometimes two paragraphs long. They convey an idea, a reminder, a tip. They're deep, yet very easy to understand. And it's a blog that I say is like the no Excuses blog. You can read this blog every day. It takes literally a minute, maybe even less, to read his blog posts. Every single day. He covers topics like personal branding, general business marketing, your ideas and your products, how to stand out, all that kind of stuff. Here's an example of one of his short blog posts. It's titled Creative People. There's just one way to become one. Do something creative. It's a little bit like leaders. What they have in common is they lead, simply begin. And it's inspirational. It's like, hey, you gotta get going. If you want to be somebody, start doing what that person does. It's like Arnold Schwarzenegger says this all the time. If you want to have a great body, then do what people that have great bodies do. Get into the gym, go to the gym today. And you're on that path now. You might be saying, hey, I thought this was about marketing. Yes, but there are some other gems in there. Who you are as an entrepreneur, how you shape your mind will influence how you market your business. All right, let's get to blog number two, Copyblogger. And you can check that out@copyblogger.com blog I've been a reader of Copyblogger for about five or six years now, and they've been around for about a decade. The founder, Brian Clark, is a very interesting entrepreneur, very bright, very smart, but a great communicator. And if you're wondering, yep, this blog is all about copywriting. It's all about communication. It's about how to communicate your ideas in your Marketing. Now, Brian's not the only one that writes for the blog. There are other writers that contribute to the blog. Today's blog post, for example, was titled what to do when you absolutely positively must know if your content will rock. And it's a blog post on how to make sure that when you release any piece of content, video, audio, written form, it's going to rock the worlds of the readers, of the listeners, of the viewers. If you struggle with writing headlines, if you struggle with coming up with topics or titles, if you struggle with sales, copy, Copyblogger is a fantastic blog when it comes to these things. If you'd like to be taught through stories and practical examples, Copyblogger is a great place to learn marketing and copywriting. It's incredible how much valuable content they offer for free on their blog. If you're a reader, you're going to get so much knowledge, so much information from their blog. It's like a masterclass in copywriting. Blog number three the third blog I recommend for marketing that you should be reading on the regular is wistia.com I've mentioned Wistia a ton of times on this show, but their blog is the best blog when it comes to video marketing. If you're doing any video marketing, it should be your go to bookmarked blog. Whether it's scripting your videos, whether it's shooting them on a budget, lighting, post production, sharing and marketing your videos, their blog posts are fun, they're entertaining, they're easy to consume and of course their videos on the blog are great and they're great examples for you to follow. Wisty has been building their content and their blog for so long for about seven years now and they publish so regularly. But more importantly, all their content is so high quality. There is so much to learn when you go to their blog. If you're new to video marketing, if you're new with video period, then Wistia is going to be a blessing for you. You're gonna be like wow, this is incredible. Everything you need to know is right there. They break up their blog into different categories. Production, marketing, sales, and of course product updates for their own product, Wistia's product and one I really like called Wistia Culture. You can learn how to build your own team culture by learning about theirs. So everything deal with video marketing, you got to check them out. Fantastic blog number four. I've mentioned this blog a ton of times on the show. It's a must read for your marketing, especially search engine, engine optimization, marketing or anything dealing with YouTube marketing. And that's backlinko.com Brian Dean from backlinko.com publishes a blog post every month or every six weeks or so. But when he does, it's epic. It's a 2000 plus words infographics, images, videos. It's really a guide, a book on a specific topic. When it comes to search engine optimization or YouTube marketing. He got into YouTube marketing about a couple years ago and he's very, very good at it. So if you want to improve your search engine optimization, if you want to market better through keywords, through search, if you want to market better and build out your YouTube channel, check out backlinko.com their blog is absolute gold. All right, that was number four. Number five. The fifth blog I highly recommend you check out, bookmark, read regularly for your marketing needs is Intercom's blog Intercom.com blog Intercom is a customer service chat tool. It's also a CRM. But they're a newcomer when it comes to marketing blogs. The last few years they've really invested in great content in their blog and they're really good. I checked out many of their blog posts as of late and they're all great. There's a lot of great content on how to market your business, how to close sales on your website, how to keep customers happy, how to there's even crash courses on design on your website to convert customers better, how to gather feedback so you can market better. There's so much there. Intercom has been growing rapidly in the last few years. They're a company out of Ireland based out of Dublin and actually met the team in Sydney at Intercom recently at a meetup. And they're very, very dedicated. They're doubling tripling down on their blog as a source of great content so they can attract the right customers. So they're a good model of how to actually run a good blog, how to actually put out great content that'll track the customers they're looking for. Their blog is broken up into different categories. Sales, marketing, support, growth, product, design, engineering. So there's something for everybody on your team here and they even have a podcast that you can check out.
