And in today's episode you will learn a few ideas you can steal from Elon Musk and the New Tesla Cybertruck. A few weeks ago, Elon Musk released the new Tesla Cybertruck and the Internet flipped out. If you haven't seen the Tesla Cybertruck, you should Google it right now. As you're listening to this episode, the design is, to say the least, controversial. What happened here? Why is this a brilliant move by Elon Musk and the Tesla team? And why some of the goofs that happened during the keynote presentation actually help them market the truck? But most importantly, how can you take some of the marketing techniques, ideas and delivery of this product, the launch of this product, and apply it to your own business and products? There's some simple things you can pick up and really implement in your next launch, in your next release, in your next announcement. Yes, Elon Musk is an entrepreneur and business person, but really, he's a showman and knows how to sell his products. Can't wait to get into all these great insights and nuggets so you can apply them to your business. So let's get into it. Let's get down to business. Elon Musk announced the new Tesla Cybertruck, which is their first pickup truck. And it's huge. Literally, it's huge. It's been called the craziest design for any truck ever and one of the zaniest presentations and launches. Despite that, in the first five days, Tesla got over a quarter of a million orders for this truck alone. Just to put that in context, one of the best selling pickup trucks in America is the Ford F150. And Ford sold a little over a million of these trucks last year. So in just five days, Tesla had a quarter of a million orders. Now, just to be fair, these are orders, they're not purchases yet. These are people putting a deposit so they can get it when the truck is ready. But still, that's incredibly impressive. This comes from a company that people wanted to write off just a few years ago, saying that electric cars were a fad and they would never actually take off. But of course, Elon Musk proved them wrong. Now let's talk about some of the things that happened during this event and the truck itself so you can apply the same techniques, the same types of strategies in your business. I want to start with the truck itself. If you take a look at the Cybertruck, it is a very polarizing type of design. You either love it or you hate it. And this is why it's irrelevant for me to tell you if I like it or not. What's important here is that you're actually striking a nerve. No one writes about, no one talks about, no one gets excited about a vanilla product. If you're just a run of the mill product that doesn't get noticed, it doesn't evoke any emotion, then you will be ignored. It's just not noteworthy. But Elon knew that if they're going to break into the truck market, which is a very, very niche market, it has a very strong following. People that have pickup trucks that use them for work, that by designing something that is very familiar, that everybody knows, and just putting an electric, you know, motor in there and battery, it's just not going to be enough. It has to be radical to really shake things up. So you're either with me or against me. That's the type of mentality he needs to do to be able to make a mark in, in this marketplace. So are you trying to Break into a marketplace is your product or your new feature or your new offering on your site. Entering a marketplace with competitors, how are you going to shake things up and get noticed? Well, one of the things is, is to be bold. Yes, this means some people are not going to like you, but that's okay, because you'll have plenty of people, enough people that will love you. I rather have a thousand customers that absolutely love me than 5,000 that like me. You're like, wait a minute, Omar, you're saying you rather have less customers? Yes, because those thousand customers that are absolutely insane about my product, they love it. They go bonkers. They're gonna get me so many customers themselves by word of mouth. They're gonna be evangelists. They're gonna be basically free salespeople versus 5,000 people that like my product, that probably would never even mention it to somebody else, where I'm doing all the work and spending all the money to market this thing. And of course, by being bold, by being different, by being dramatic in the design, you're giving the media, bloggers, journalists, YouTubers, a reason to publish something about you. It's insane. When you look at this truck, it's something out of Blade Runner or something, right? It's like so futuristic looking and yet it's so boxy. I'm pretty sure there's no curves on the design at all. So if you want raving fans, if you want to stand out, you gotta have a polarizing product. You gotta be willing to do that. You gotta be willing to have some haters sue. It's okay because you're have plenty of lovers. Next in the presentation, Elon Musk. If you watch the video on YouTube, they. He actually claims that the glass in the body is bulletproof. Now, they didn't test the body, but they threw a rock or something at the glass of the cybertruck, and guess what? The glass broke. Now, the actual rock didn't, you know, penetrate the glass. It just kind of shattered it, but it didn't break into pieces. But they tried it again, throwing something at the glass, and again it shattered the. The glass, the window. And for all intents and purposes, people might say that was an epic failure. Holy. Elon's probably going to be depressed about this. No, Elon actually made a joke on stage and said, hey, we're going to fix this in post, meaning we're going to fix this in post production and edit this out later on. And everybody just cracked up. And they just continued with the presentation because you know why? Because that Little fumble is, is going to be noteworthy, it's going to be press worthy, it's going to get him buzzed, it's going to get him to be very, very popular on the news, on the Internet for the next few weeks. He understands how the world works. The second thing is he understands the reality of what just happened. Yeah, the glass kind of cracked. But any other vehicle, if you threw a rock at the glass, it'd go through the glass and probably through the next window as well. Still did better than a typical car or truck in that situation. So if you ever make a mistake in your business, if you ever fumble, use it as an opportunity. One time I sent an email for a webinar which had the wrong date and time. And then somebody told me, hey, the time is wrong. Somebody on my team said, hey, check it out. The time in the email doesn't match the registration page. And I felt, oh my God, I screw this up. All I did is re email the list the people that received that email and said, oops, I made a mistake. I was so excited to share with you the webinar. I made a typo, made a bit of a joke about the typo king. It was just a very honest email. I corrected that day and time and guess what? I had more registrants for that webinar than any other webinar before. People love the transparency. People love the honesty. And they read that oops, I made a mistake email more than the original email. The next thing I want to share with you is if you watch the presentation or any Tesla presentation that Elon Musk does, when they release a new car, they highlight some key stats, key features. They make sure it's very clear to people what these numbers are. They're really important. And these numbers are 0 to 60 speed. So basically how fast a car can go from zero to 60 miles per hour, the range, how long the car can go, how many miles it can go without having to recharge its battery, and the price. What's the price point of this car? Where it starts? Why does Elon always talk about these three stats, every single presentation, every single car release? Because it's the unique selling proposition of Tesla. This is what makes Tesla incredible. The reason why Elon started Tesla is because he wanted to create an electric vehicle. A car that is not dependent on fossil fuels, an emission free vehicle that didn't sacrifice performance and convenience. Many of people that have objections about electric cars in the past said, well, it's going to be slow. How can it be fast without Any, you know, combustion engine. And that's why he drills home. The 0 to 60 speed is less than 3 seconds on this car, faster than any other car or truck in its class. So. Objection. Obliterated. Right, Next. Objection. I'm going to get stuck without any juice. I'm not going to have any electricity. No, you can drive up to 300 miles with this car. There's Tesla chargers everywhere. You could plan a route throughout the country with Tesla chargers, even internationally. Objection. Obliterated. Well, this car has to be expensive then. If it's, you know, a rocket and it's great on gas, you know, it doesn't even use gas. Uses electricity and therefore it's a lot cheaper. Nope. It actually starts at a lower starting point at cars in its class. Objection. Obliterated. So he does this over and over, every single time drilling at home. Why? Because this is what makes him successful. He knows if I can make sure I can convince him on these three arguments, I can get them to buy. So what are your USPs? What are your three pieces of information you need to drill home with your customer, on your sales page, on your website to, in your email copy, in your marketing, in your Facebook ads, or social media? What are the three areas that are your mic drop moments? Are the three areas that obliterate objections for your audience?

To wrap up today's lesson, I share with you some bold and effective methods to launch and market your products via Elon, Musk and Tesla. Now, whether you're a lover or a hater of Tesla or Elon himself, this doesn't stop you from taking the good, taking what's brilliant from somebody else, from their strategies, and using it in your business. You don't have to agree with everything in order for you to learn something. The other thing I want to say is Elon took some risks here with the cybertruck, with the design, the way he launched it, everything. But in the world of business, sometimes you got to take a risk to get a big payout, to get a result. Every action you take in business has some level of risk, you go vanilla. That's risky too.
