I'm your host, your Coach, your teacher Omar's at home. I'm also the co founder of the $100 MBA, a complete business training and community online. And in today's episode you will learn how to get great customer reviews quickly. Whether you're looking to get a testimonial or get somebody to review you on Yelp or Google or Capterra or G2 or any other review site, there's a method that can really maximize results. A method that we have used over the years that's really helped us listen. Getting reviews is very important in getting more business. People buy from those who they trust and reviews build that trust. They want to read about people's experiences, find out if you're legit. It's not enough for you to say you're legit on your website. They got to hear from other people that have worked with you. There's a lot of businesses that their success is dependent on these reviews. If they're not on the top of Google reviews with rave reviews, it's just a matter of time before they are a goner. So how do you get these reviews? How do you make sure that they're great and they come on autopilot? I'm going to show you our formula in today's episode. So let's get into it. Let's get down to business. I don't know about you, but I don't buy anything on Amazon without reading a review about the product or at least a few reviews. In fact, it's very rare for me to buy a book if the book doesn't have at least a handful of positive reviews that resonate with me. And the same thing goes when it comes to choosing a restaurant, choosing a software, choosing my next vacation destination or Hotel on TripAdvisor rent. We live in a review culture where we want to hear what people have experienced. We want to feel safe that it's going to be all right that we're making the right financial decision by giving this company our money. So how do you build that trust for your business? How do you get those reviews so people can read amazing reviews about your business, your service and say, yep, I want that? Well, it's actually a streamlined process that allows you to consistently get reviews. And, and not only are you gonna get reviews, but you're gonna get great reviews and you're gonna do it legitimately. You're not gonna get people giving you non honest reviews or dishonest reviews. Now, before I share that process with you, I gotta tell you that you will get negative reviews in your business. It's just a matter that you have to just accept, okay? You're not for everybody. And sometimes people are gonna have a bad experience. You're not perfect. And of course you're gonna learn from that experience and bounce back and hopefully turn that customer around. But understand that all your Reviews can't be 5 stars. Glowing reviews. Somet review you and it's not great. Your job is to have the overwhelming number of reviews be positive, okay? And you have control over that. I'm going to show you how. It's actually a good thing that you have some negative reviews because it actually makes you more credible. No business that's legitimate has glowing five star reviews. Every single review is positive. I would be suspicious if I was checking that out. Even if I go to TripAdvisor and I go to the top hotel in the world, there's going to be somebody who doesn't give it a five star review. All right, let's get into the process. The first thing is that you have to have a preliminary survey to make sure you qualify the people you ask for a review. And I like to use the NPS score. NPS stands for Net Promoter Score and it's a score that's very well known in the industry. Basically your customers rate you from a scale to 1 to 10. 10 being I would recommend you to other people. Like, I would definitely recommend you. And one being. No, I. I would never recommend you. And the way network promoter describes the different types of people is promoters, passives, and detractors. So promoters are anybody who gives you a rating of 8, 9, or 10, 5, 6, 7 are passives. This means that they're not going to openly promote you, nor are they going to bash you. Anything below that is attractors, people that don't like you and are going to voice that. So the first thing we do with all our customers is ask them to answer an NPS survey. And you can use a tool like Survikit that makes it super simple to send that out either via email or via a chat message or something like that, like a bot in your on your website. But we send this to only customers, okay? And NPS is incredibly important. You want to make sure you're always working on your NPS, because the Holy Grail is 7. If you can have an average of 7 or above, your business will have a viral growth, which means that people are just recommending you over and over and over, allowing your business to grow itself. So NPS itself should be established. Now, what you do now is that you put out your nps. You get all the feedback that people give you. They give you the score. They also have a chance to give the reason why they gave you that score. So you're learning a ton just from that step. How to improve your product, how to improve your service, how to make sure you're serving your customers. The next thing we do is we automatically send an email, and we do this through intercom. And Survicate allows us to do this to those who gave us a promoter score. So anybody who scores this with 8, 9, or 10, we want them to talk about us publicly because they're willing to talk about us publicly. They're a promoter. We want to give them a chance. We want to give them a microphone, basically. Now, before I move on, I want to just say that we don't just contact promoters. We talk to passives. We talk to detractors, and we try to find out how we can improve, how we can turn them around. We pick their brains. We definitely want to speak to those people because there are a goldmine of information. But how do we talk to promoters? These people are happy, they love us, and they are willing to promote us. So what we do is we send them an email, those who scored us a 9 or 10, but it's very short, very simple. And we say, hey, we love that you love A product. Would you mind giving us a review on this site? And you could choose where you want them to give a review. That could be on Google, that could be on Yelp, that can be on Capterra, that could be on G2, whatever, okay, wherever you want them to review them. Or maybe that you want them to submit a testimonial in a Google form where you can display on your website. The point here is that you say, hey, we know you love us. How about giving us a testimonial, giving us a review? We'd love you even more if you could do that for us. The likelihood of getting somebody to review you that's a promoter in our experience is very high. About 70% of people that have said that they are a promoter, they gave us A score of 8, 9 or 10, will give us a review at whatever site we tell them to go to. Now if you're an established brand, this is a lot easier because people know you, you're credible and, and they're more willing to do a review for a company like that. Now, if you're new and upcoming, there's nothing wrong with rewarding people. This is not an exchange. You tell them, hey, we'd love for you to give us an honest review on this site. And regardless of your review, we would like to buy you a cup of coffee for your time. So once you submit your review, reply to this email and we'll send you a $10 Starbucks gift card. And we've tried both and the latter really works well in terms of building reviews quickly because it adds some urgency. People understand that, you know, this is probably a limited time. I should do this while the iron is hot. Let me get that $10 gift card. Enjoy a cup of coffee. It just incentivizes people to take action and we underline, you know, an honest review. We want to make sure that they understand that you are able to give an honest review. And sometimes it's not a 5 star review, sometimes it's a 4.5 star review, sometimes they add a few things that they don't like and that's fine, that's great, that's still a positive review. And we're happy to give them a gift car. But this system where you pre qualify, you send them to your promoters, you give them an incentive, it allows you to put a little fuel to the fire and get those reviews going quickly. And we basically just say, hey, just reply to this email with a screenshot of your review and we'll send that gift card over and you can obviously automate that. You can get an EA to help you. And Starbucks makes it super simple for you to buy a gift card in about one second on one page. And it's just an email card so you don't even have to send it in the mail. We think Starbucks is a good gift card just because it's just easy to say I'll buy you a cup of coffee. And of course if they don't drink coffee, they can buy a tea, they can get a cake, they can buy water and a banana. There's something for everybody over at Starbucks, right? Also, Starbucks is something that is pretty global and is around in most countries. I know there's some countries that don't have Starbucks, but it's something that anybody can utilize. But the incentive could be anything you like. We just found that Starbucks gift cards work the best for us now. Once they reply with saying hey, we got the review and we were about to tell them hey, here's your gift card, we say thank you so much. We gush with such happiness and such gratitude for them leaving us a review. This allows them to feel like, hey, you really appreciate it. And not only will they feel good about giving a review, they'll tell other people in their circle. Just word of mouth about your product show your gratitude and it will really pay off. And we found that to be true as well.

ADP knows anything can change the world of work. Like what if a blocked shipping port caused a worldwide coffee shortage? Suddenly businesses are scrambling to manage an increasingly drowsy workforce. Productivity slips 20% just due to the extended time it takes to conduct a job interview while yawning. Anything can change the world of work. From HR to payroll, ADP helps businesses take on the next anything. ADP always designing for people.
To wrap up today's lesson. Getting reviews for your business is imperative if you want to have some social trust and you can do it the right way. You can make sure that you're getting reviews from the best customers that you have and you can ask them for an honest review. You can incentivize them just so they can take action and get those reviews quickly. But again, stress, we are looking for an honest review, not something that isn't true. And by the way, tons of companies do this and they do this even with surveys. They reward people for taking surveys because they understand that this takes time to do and why not compensate them for their time? I want you to give this a try. Implement this in your business. It's very easy to do and to automate this with some autoresponders in your email sequences, with your CRM, with your email marketing software. The only really touch point you're going to need to do is just reply to that last email with a Starbucks gift card and you can actually get your EA or a virtual assistant or just carve out a few minutes every week to do that for your amazing customers. And those are the type of emails we love reading. So it's all good. Thank you so much for listening to the $100 NBA show. If you love what you hear, hit subscribe right now. Before I go, I want to leave you with this. One of the biggest reasons why Our podcast, the 100 RMBA Shows, is as big as it is. It's because of its social proof. Because we have well over a thousand reviews across different countries. That says a lot. When somebody stumbles upon your product or your service or your podcast for that matter, and they see a ton of reviews, they're like, well, you know, all these people can't be wrong. There's got to be something special about this, this product or this thing that I'm looking at. You know what I'm talking about? I mean, I was just on Amazon the other day trying to find the next book I want to read. And I was looking at some of the books I've read before, like Bad Blood and Shoe Dog, and we're talking about three, four, five thousand reviews on Amazon. I'm like, wow, you can't ignore that. You have to be interested. That has to pique your interest. So reviews really matter. Get onto this. Thank you so much for listening and I'll check you tomorrow on free ride Friday. I'll see you then. Take care.
