Hey oh. Welcome to the 100 Doll RMBA show, helping you navigate through the business jungle every day with our daily 10 minute business lessons for the real world. I'm your host, your coach, your teacher Omar Zenholm. I'm also the co founder of the $100 MBA, a complete business training and community online and today's episode is a Q and A Wednesday episode. On our Q and a Wednesday episode, I answer a question from one of you, one of our listeners. If you have a question you want to ask, just email me over at Omar at 100- MBA-NET Today's question is from Boris and Boris asks. I'm starting a brand new YouTube channel and my goal is to publish a brand new video every single week. I know publishing weekly is not too ambitious, but I still want to make sure I'm publishing consistently and I never miss a scheduled episode. How do you manage to publish your daily podcasts so consistently over the years? Any tips? I really appreciate your help. Love the podcast. Keep it coming. Thanks Boris for the question for today's Q and A Wednesday and congratulations on launching your new YouTube channel. He's right. If you want to get the most out of content, you need to publish consistently. And this is what I Learned over my six years and over 1500 episodes of the $100 MBA Show. One of the reasons why we're so successful is that we outlasted people, we never let our audience down, we publish on time and we stick to our publishing schedule. More about that in today's episode. So I'm going to give my top tips on making sure we're. Whatever you're doing, whether you're podcasting, you have a YouTube channel, you're writing blog posts, how do you make sure you publish your content consistently on time and you never skip a beat. Let's get into it. Let's get down to business. Boris wants to know how we have published consistently over the years, how we stayed consistent, how we made sure we're on time. We have a daily podcast. It's very, very important for us to be on top of this whole consistency thing because we have very little for mistake, very little room for error. If you publish weekly, you have a lot more leeway. Because you publish today, you have seven days to make sure you publish again. For us, if you publish today, you gotta make sure you publish tomorrow, the day after, the day after. You get the point. So my number one tip when it comes to no matter what the consistency is, whether it's daily, weekly, monthly, you need to make sure you batch. Batching in every step of the process will save you time, effort, and headaches and stress of worrying if this is gonna publish on time or not. So many people ask me, how do I publish every single day, how do I travel, how do I work? What's the deal, Omar? Well, I batch. I don't record every episode every day. This is not live radio. I record a bunch of episodes in one shot a couple days of the week, and that way we are ahead of schedule. That way the episodes are recorded way in advance so that we have time to work on them, to work on the marketing, to write show notes, and also gives a chance to have a little bit of a breather so that we're not worried about, you know, if we get sick or we get tired or need to go on vacation. We can't always be super ahead. But at least we want to make sure that we're batching to the point so that we're a few days, if not weeks ahead. So batching is really important. You want to batch whatever you're doing. So say, for example, you are going to publish three videos in the next three weeks. Well, you would actually serve yourself better if you batched one all three scripts at one time. You wrote all three scripts at one time, shot all three videos at One time edited all three videos at one time. Because content switching is a lot of energy and it wastes a lot of time. So imagine just having your editing software up for your videos and you just edit one video after another. It's just a lot faster than going through the process A to Z. So, for example, you script the video, then you shoot the video, and then you edit the video, and then after that you publish the video, and then you go back for the second video to script again and shoot again. So as you can see, that's not really efficient. So batching every part of the process helps you get a lot more done and get ahead. Number two, always have a publishing schedule. This literally is a Google Sheet in our organization where we have a schedule of the publishing date, the name of the episode, the episode number, any sponsors, the topic, any notes we need to pop in there. The point here is that everybody is looking at this sheet, understanding when the deadline is, when we need to get this done. And having the schedule allows you to know how to batch properly and get ahead. A publishing schedule is very simple. You can create one again with Excel or Google Sheets. I like Google Sheets because it's just easy to share with the team and it allows you to be organized and hold yourself accountable. Number three, and this is not in any particular order, but you really should think about a consistency you're most comfortable with. Depending on the format, the style of your content, you know, more is not always merrier. So if you know, you can deliver a weekly video or a weekly podcast or weekly blog post, stick to that. I like the fact that in his question, Bohr said that he's not trying to be over ambitious, you know, which is good. He's trying to, you know, be consistent. This is what's important. And that's what I want to emphasize here. Consistency is more important than quantity. If you consistently publish on a cadence, you know, weekly, twice a week, whatever it is that signals to whatever platform, YouTube, Apple, Spotify, Google. If it's your blog posts that this website's credible, this, you know, source is credible because they consistently publish. They're not hacking their way. They're professional. My next tip is simple, but a lot of people overlook it. You need to make time for your content creation in your calendar. You gotta block off time in your calendar to get this done. Whether it's scripting a video, whether it's shooting the video, whether it's editing or producing, or, you know, actually putting it out there on YouTube. When are you gonna actually do these tasks? Put em in the calendar aside time for them, put aside the right amount of time and make sure that you actually show up and do those tasks at that time. That takes self discipline. But a calendar helps you. It reminds you, it carves out time. It blocks off time so you don't, you know, over commit to other things and end up not doing what you set out to do with this content. This hack alone will allow you to be consistent. You know, I find that if you control your calendar, you control your future, you control your time, you control what you do with your time. There's so much involved here a lot of people overlook when they if I look at your calendar and you don't have every hour accounted for in your day, then you're throwing time away somewhere. You don't really know what you're doing every day. You're not really being efficient, you're not being really covetous of your time. You need to see time as gold, right? So use your calendar. Block off time to make this happen.

My last tip for today's Q and A Wednesday to stay consistent with publishing content is very simple. If it's a priority, it will get done. Sleeping is a priority for us, so we sleep every day. Eating is a priority. That's why you never skip a meal. Very rarely do you skip a meal. For some people, watching their favorite show on Netflix is a priority. They do not go to bed without watching that show. So if publishing this content is a Priority. If you see the importance of how this will help your audience, will grow your audience, help your business. If you really understand the why and it's a priority, you're going to get it done. You're going to figure out a way and you're going to use the tips I showed you today or explained or shared with you today to make it happen. This is the bottom line. If the priority, you will make it a priority. You'll put it in your calendar. You'll make sure you have time. You'll do it. So your job is to tell yourself it's a priority. Shape the narrative, find out what's going to happen if you do this right. Imagine what's going to happen if you do this right. If you are successful with this project, what are the benefits? What are you going to reap? What if you don't do it right? What kind of feelings are you going to have there? What kind of disappointment you're going to have there? This is going to help you make it a priority. Thank you so much for listening and thank you, Boris, for the great question for Q and A Wednesday. We're on them all. Spotify, Stitcher Radio, Apple Podcast, Himalaya. We're on them all. Before I go, I want to leave you with this I love Boris question tip because he recognizes that, hey, the $100 NBA show's been publishing for six years over 1500 episodes. And he said, hey, I'm going to write in and ask a question. Because these people know how to be consistent. They've done it. Let me find out how they do it. And that's a great practice to do. I do this all the time. I look at people that have what I want, have achieved, where I want to be, and I ask them questions. I say, how did you get there? What are some things I need to do? What are some of the steps that you took or some of the mistakes you made? So this really is a great practice. So if you want something, if you want to achieve something, find somebody who has done it already and ask them, how did you do it? It's a practice that has been going on for centuries. It's how we learn. Thank you so much for listening and I'll check you in tomorrow's episode. I'll see you then. Take care.
