Hey O. Welcome to the $1 NBA Show. Your favorite business podcast for short bite size business knowledge every single day with our daily 10 minute business lessons for the real world. I'm your host, your coach, your teacher Omar Zenholm. I'm also the co founder of the $100 MBA, a complete business training and community online. And in today's episode you will learn three new lead magnet ideas. Attracting new email subscribers to your email list is getting harder and harder. People are really sensitive about giving their email out. They covet their inbox these days. So if you don't offer something that is really worth their while, they're just not gonna give up their email signing up for your newsletter or for an ebook or a white paper. So I wanna share with you three new lead magnet ideas to attract new email signups that are irresistible that allow your visitors to your website to opt in to your email list as a no brainer. The landscape is getting competitive so you gotta up your game. This is why we're delivering today's lesson. So let's get into it. Let's get down to business. I've been saying this for some time, but we're in a gold rush when it comes to email list building. It's going to get even harder in the years to come. To get emails on your email list. So now's the time to start building to get as many people on your list as possible. Social media is getting incredibly crowded and it's very hard to get people's attention there. That's why if you have access to somebody's inbox, you have undivided attention. And that's why it's so important to get people's email when they visit your website. But the typical join my email list or join my newsletter to get hot tips doesn't cut it anymore. You gotta incentivize your subscribers with something else. Something fresh, something valuable. So here are three new ideas for you to just go ahead and implement. Number one, templates and scripts. People love a shortcut, they love an easy way to implement ideas. So if you can offer some sort of template or script, people will opt in for that. It's something they're going to use, it's a reference, they'll even share that. For example, we offer a PowerPoint and Keynote template for webinars over at Webinar Ninja. This is one of our most high converting opt ins because people want a shortcut. They don't want to create, you know, 30, 40, 50 slides for their next webinar. They want it all done for them. And if you can offer that, it's going to be a no brainer when they land on your website. Same thing with scripts. Whatever industry in people want to know exactly what to say, whether it's an email or it's a tweet or a Facebook post. If you can offer a script to help your audience out as a template, it gives them a leg up and it allows them to cut through the overwhelm. You're addressing a serious pain when you offer templates and scripts on your website as an opt in. Also, I love this lead magnet because people that choose to download a script or a template, they're action takers. They want to do something. They're the type of lead you want because they'll take action and buy your products and services. So they're a warm lead, they're an interested lead. You can nurture them on your email list with an automation sequence and offer them your products and services. My only tip here is that don't let your templates and your scripts go stale. Update them regularly, at least once a year so that they're fresh, whether it's design, whether it's content. That way you can actually claim it's new, say it's for 2020 or 2021 and people love getting new Materials. All right, let's go to number two. People opt in because of perceived value. So with the scripts and the templates, I haven't actually seen these templates yet, but the perceived value allows them to believe that this is worth giving up their email. And this goes for number two as well, and that's live coaching. Demo offering. Live coaching has immense perceived value. This means people can get the answers to their questions from you directly live. Now, you don't have to do this every single day. You could just have one webinar, which is like an ask me anything webinar, which is life coaching. People can ask you questions and you can answer them. You can even run a demo. Say, hey, if you're interested in what we offer, whether it's a product, a service, a course, we offer a full demo. It's a walkthrough and Q and A. So this is a really good combo because people love to sign up and they want to hear from you live. They want to get to know you. They want to also get to know the answers to their questions. And the fact that it's live makes them feel this is highly, highly valuable. So people will opt in for that. Our number one converting funnel at webinar Ninja is our live demo and Q and A. It's the number one thing that converts customers. So not only is it a lead magnet, it's a sales tool. So definitely, definitely start using this as your lead magnet, where you say, hey, sign up for my live demo. Sign up for my live Q and A coaching call. Learn more. If we're a good fit for you, ask me any question you like. And it's gonna take one hour of your time a week or every two weeks. Depends on what you wanna do. I do weekly, and it's well worth it. You get to learn a ton about your potential customers. You get to improve your products and services based on it. And of course, many of the people that attend these live Q and A's buy and if you're so inclined, you can make a soft sell on the live call on the live webinar and make an offer at the end. All right, number three, the third fresh new lead magnet idea is a straight up coupon. Now, a lot of people think coupons, they think E commerce. They think, oh, 15% off for free shipping. That's very common. People know that. But people don't ever apply that stuff to other business types. Services, courses, software. We did a split test where we had our homepage, just straight up start a free trial, go straight to the pricing page versus sign up as an opt in box for a 15% discount. Where basically they get an automated email with a coupon code and the 15% discount opt in page converted, 17% higher. Number one, again, these are buyers. Somebody who's looking for a coupon is looking to buy. Number two, it gets them on the email list. You get interested buyers on your email list and it's exactly what they want. They want some sort of value. It's savings, it's cash. Basically. It gives them a reason to buy. That's what coupons do, they give you a reason to buy. And this is one of the most underutilized lead magnets. You know, people are doing their homework. They're looking around, they might see an ebook, a white paper. They may not be interested in more information. You got a ton of information on your website, on your blog. But if they see 15% off, okay, I'll give my email address and be part of the email list. And in the back of their mind they're thinking, this product is 15% off. I got a coupon that I can use and save some money. Money versus a competition that doesn't have one. So it keeps you top of mind. And of course you gain the email address and you're able to straight up sell to them on that automation because hey, they signed up to buy with a coupon, you can make it time sensitive. They need to use that coupon at a certain period of time. You can explain to them step by step what will happen when they sign up, the experience of being a customer, all that kind of stuff. And setting up all three of these is pretty simple. You just need an opt in box and an email automation with your email marketing software to deliver the coupon or deliver whatever you promise, Whether it's a template, a link to your live coaching to register, or the actual webinar page is the opt in. So that's nice and simple. Or delivering a coupon code that easy. The reason why these three really work is the high perceived value. It's different, it's new, it's better than the competition. So it compels people to say, wow, okay, I'll give my email for that. I haven't seen that.
