Today's episode is a must Read episode on our Must Read Episodes. I share with you a book that I've read that has influenced me as an entrepreneur. I share with you its takeaways, its insights and why you should read it too. Today's must read is Million Dollar Coach by Taki Moore. I've gotten to know Taki Moore, the author of Million Dollar Coach in the last couple years here in Sydney, Australia. And in all honesty, I picked up this book, his book, because I met him a few times and I was curious about his work, curious about what he does and I discovered that Taki is basically the coach of coaches. All the big names in any form of Coaching, business coaching, personal coaching, health coaching, whatever it is, have worked with Taki and I started to remember, oh yeah, you know, so and so mentioned Taki in the past before and this person also mentioned Taki. So when it comes to coaches or coaching, Taki knows his stuff. So today we're gonna take a deep dive in his book Million Dollar Coach and find out is it worth reading? Are there great takeaways? I'll be sharing them with you. The whole point of the book is to give you a framework for to build a million dollar coaching business. Does it actually deliver? Well, we'll find out in today's lesson. So let's get into it. Let's get down to business. One of the reasons why I was attracted to Taki's book was when I started to get to know him a little bit as a person. I started to also just take a look at some of his work online, some of his webinars, his videos. And I really found him to be a very good teacher and I'm really, really sensitive to that. Like I really can recognize great teachers because hey, as you many of you know, teacher for 13 years, I teach every day on this podcast. So I really have a lot of respect for those who know how to break down complex information into digestible chunks or steps to allow people to implement. And I wanted to see if his book does the same. So what is Million Dollar Coach all about? Well, I mentioned earlier a little bit that it's all about building a million dollar coaching business. I want to say that even though this book is about coaching, a lot of what he talks about can be applied to any service based business. You're a photographer, you're a videograph, you're a graphic designer, you're a web developer. Many, many of the concepts he teaches here can be applied. At the end of the day, you're trying to attract great leads that lead to great customers which become your clients. Obviously the book covers three kind of steps in the process and it's attract, convert and scale. Now, even though this book is not a huge book, he actually covers quite a bit. It's actually 200 pages. So I actually read this book in maybe two or three sittings and he walks you through what is the ideal sales funnel for anybody who is a coach. From attracting the right leads to converting those leads, to obviously nurturing those clients and making sure that you can deliver on your coaching at scale. And I think that was the best part of the book. The first two parts are awesome. I think they're great if you've never really took a deep dive into sales funnels, um, many of the things he teaches I read and was a great reminders and I thought pretty interesting take how to use it in coaching and all that kind of stuff. So I thought, I really enjoyed those chapters. But I really thought his scale chapter on how to deliver your coaching services at scale while making sure the quality and the results of your clients remain high. One of the things I really thought was interesting, I wanted to start with this takeaway is Taki uses the method of don't sell them, show them. And he actually does it in the book, which is quite meta. And I always talk about this in my webinars. It's like, if you want to get people to buy your products or services, just show them what you can do, show them the results you get, rather than trying to convince them that this is something they want to buy. So one of the ways he shows them is he just shows the results of his clients. He actually shares case studies of his clients and how they implemented the things he teaches in the book. So not only do you gain respect and he gains credibility through these examples, but he also gives you tangible examples of how to implement some of the things that he's teaching. So how he actually delivered the information was a takeaway in itself. Taki, in the book, is very, very bullish on webinars and using webinars to sell your coaching packages. Now, if you're selling coaching, you're probably going to be charging a bit. It's not something that is easy to sell just off a sales page. Many coach programs, depending on what's included, will range between 2 to $3,000 a year to even 30, 40, $50,000 a year. So he emphasizes driving traffic. That leads to a webinar where you sell your program. And he actually walks you through some of the tips he has when it comes to sales and how to interact with his audience. One of the interesting things that he does in the book that I thought was pretty cool was that he shares the transcripts of some of the webinars he does to show you what are some of the things you can say to the audience in the chat as you're doing this, as you're selling your course. And he does this actually throughout the whole book, or maybe I think halfway through the book, I found that very useful and kind of just tangible. It's very unorthodox, and I think it's something that I haven't seen before in a book. One of the things that he really emphasizes in the book that I think I want to highlight is the importance of hiring great executive assistants or an executive assistant, at least at the start. When you're building your coaching business, a great EA can save you a ton of time and effort in organizing all the logistics of your course and communicating with your members and managing people in your groups. It also gives you some breathing room to focus on your craft. He talks about focusing on your secret sauce, your secret weapon, your special talent, and that's usually the things that you teach as a coach. Everything else should be handled by an executive assistant. All the admin, all the other stuff. He encourages you to start building a team of these types of assistants and a team of virtual helpers or team members, whether they're graphic designers or developers. He gives you some tips on how to hire them, where to find them, all that kind of stuff, and how much value they can add to your business as you scale your business. Now, when it comes to coaching businesses, scaling is really the key here because, you know, one on one coaching doesn't scale very well. You want to do group coaching, you want to be able to impact as many people as possible. And by the way, I've run group coaching programs, and they actually work better than one on one coaching because people learn from each other, they collaborate, they help each other out, they hold each other accountable, they get feedback from one another. And that sense of community has its own value, opposed to just like a one on one coach. One of the other things I learned from this book is Taki's style of sales. You're gonna have to sell your programs at some point. And I found his style very original and disarming to customers because it's very casual. It's very Australian in that way. He's very casual, he's very personable, he's very positive and upbeat. It doesn't feel like he's pushing anything onto anybody. And he actually walks you through kind of how he phrases these things and why he does it this way. And it actually flips things around. It makes people feel like, hey, I want to be a part of this, rather than, you know, feeling like they're being sold to. I think the book is worth reading just on that alone and just discovering that angle or discovering that technique of sales. Now, yes, Taki does mention some of the things he sells, like his programs in the book, and that's totally normal. You just should be aware of what he does. And he actually just uses them as examples so he understands how to build your own kind of progression or sales funnel for your own business. I personally think that this book is worth reading and rereading if you're starting a coaching business. If you're in a coaching business, it really has some great fundamentals that you really should stick to. Now is it the end all and be all? Well, I think it'll get you to some point. I think it actually will help you get the ball rolling. I do suggest you sign up for his newsletter. He invites you to his private Facebook group. He has other materials online that you can check out. But I have no doubt that Takimora is the real deal just because of the sheer amount of people I know that have used him and use his programs to improve their own coaching programs. And they're all the best in the game. Hey Fidelity, Can I get a second.

Podcast to wrap up today's must read episode Million Dollar Coach by Taki Moore Definitely a book you want to pick up. Definitely a book that you can easily read very quickly. It's 200 pages. If you're thinking about doing any kind of coaching or even teaching or creating courses online or like I said, even if you have a service based business, there's a lot of great insights in this book that you may have not seen before. I thought it was just a great read. I thought I learned a ton about how he sells, how he does his webinars, how he scales his business and he shares a ton from his own business and how he does things that I was quite surprised about and if you follow him on social, he also does this as well. If you're on his newsletter, he goes behind the scenes and shows you how he creates his courses and his content and his studio set up and things like that. So he's definitely an open book and pun intended here, right? But I definitely think that he shares a lot in this book. It's worth reading, it's definitely worth implementing. I for sure picked up a few things that I'll be using at the $100 MBA that wraps up today's must read episode. Speaking of the $100 MBA, we just launched a brand new program called the Breakout Business Accelerator. Every eight weeks or so we open up the doors to aspiring and budding entrepreneurs, people that are looking to build and grow their existing business. And they'll join a group of people who will do exactly that. They're going to be building their business, scaling their business together step by step. It's an eight week sponsor Sprint followed by a continuity program that goes throughout the year to give you the support you need, the coaching, the mentorship and the accountability. If you want to be a part of the Breakout Business Accelerator, you can apply over at 100 MBA NET. The application deadline is in about two weeks, so you want to put in an application now as soon as possible. Before I go, I want to leave you with this. I would read and reread the section on scaling your coaching business because as a business coach, it's easy for you to burn out. It's easy for you to wear yourself out by committing to too many hours, too much going on. You need to be at your best self for your clients and you need to know how to do it properly so you're not burning the candle from both ends. So what you want to do is follow that advice, read this chapter and reread it because many coaches really have a hard time getting a handle on their time because they want to keep on coaching people and they don't know how to do that efficiently. Taki's got some great insights in the book, so check it out@milliondoollcoach.com thanks so much for listening to the 100 Doll NBA Show. I'll see you in tomorrow's episode. Until then, take care.
