Listen in on Friday, like today to see if you won. We announced this week's winner a little bit later in today's episode. In today's episode you will learn how to sell your online course in 2022. So you have an online course, you're thinking about building one, but you're not really sure how to get people to buy it. Maybe you've tried to sell your online course, but you just feel like you've exhausted your existing email list. You've had no luck with online ads, your leads are too cold and you're just not converting those sales and you just can't get people to know the value of your course so they can just go ahead. And so in today's lesson I'm going to break down a step by step system you can implement to sell your online course throughout the year to have predictable revenue and sales. It's simple. It's not a complicated sales funnel. You don't have to use five or seven different tools. And best of all, it works. I know because we have hundreds of users that have learned this method and are using it every single day. So let's get into it. Let's get down to business.

I want to start today's episode with a quick disclaimer. I cannot go through every single detail of how to build a full sales funnel for your online course, but I'm going to give you the most important parts of that machine. After all, this is a 10 minute lesson, but I want to give you the what what to do to sell your online course. Now if you're interested in the how, like how do I actually implement each of these parts and you want some step by step help. You want to look over my shoulder as I build each part of the funnel, I'm going to be offering an online workshop. It's absolutely free, it's live. Just go to webinar ninja.com workshop that's coming up in the first couple weeks of January of 2022. So sign up to grab your spot so that you can actually take action with today's lesson with step by step implementation steps. But let me get started with exactly what you're going to build to this sales funnel to sell your online course. Here are the facts. A lot of the information about sales funnels out there is just a lot of hype from a lot of, you know, quote unquote online marketing gurus. I actually read and took a lot of their courses back in the day and realized it's all rubbish. There's a few things you can get out of it, but overall just hyping up and over marketing your online course just does not work. The other issue is that it's quite a crowded space online right now. It's hard to get attention, it's hard to stand out. So you got to do something different. You got to do something extra special to be able to earn a customer. And lastly, a lot of us are busy. We need to focus on our expertise on teaching and learning and helping our students. It's really hard to manage five to seven different tools to make it happen. I'm going to show you how you could do it very easily and simple. Because if it's not simple, you're just not going to do it and you're not going to continue to maintain it. Now, a lot of people when they go to sell their online course, they just post their online course online on social media. They use some ads or they go into Facebook groups and this just does not work. Taking a cold lead, even through a Facebook ad where you paid money to get this lead and sending them straight to your page and saying, hey, buy this course. They don't really know who you are. Let me give you the golden rule. When it comes to building any kind of business and especially when you're trying to sell a content product like an online course, if you take away anything from today's lesson, this is it. The golden rule is you have to build trust. And let me give you a little equation. The more you share, I'm talking about value, I'm talking about of yourself. The more you share, the more trust you build, the more sales you close. This is an equation that has proven the test of time. Remember I told you back in the day, I bought all those courses and listened to all those Internet marketing gurus. What I learned is that their strategies don't last the test of time. They have a shelf life. And at the end of the day, people know when something's not genuine. You gotta build trust with your audience so you can make sales. So this whole systems about building trust, over the years, I've learned so much from actual experts. People that know sales, that know marketing, that know copywriting, people like Chet Holmes from the Ultimate Sales Machine. Great book. Gary Halpert, author of the Boron Letters seal the show from Michael Port showing you how to build rapport with people on camera. The point here that I'm making is that we're going to use techniques that just work and have worked and will continue to work because they rely on human nature, on human psychology, they rely on how we connect with our fellow human beings. Because at the end of the day, someone's going to buy because they trust you. You've bought something in the past and the reason why you bought it. At some level, you've trusted that company, that brand enough to say, I'm going to par with my dollars and go for it. We're going to create that same connection, that same formula with your customers. So the first step, so we can build trust with our audience, we can't just send cold traffic straight to our course. We need to be able to value. We got to show them, hey, I have something. I have knowledge, I have expertise. I want to share with you, something that can actually help you. Okay? So what I want you to do is I want you to think about your course and think about one thing in the course that really is a pain point for your prospective student, your prospective customer. So say, for example, I'm a snowboarding instructor, I'm a snowboarding expert, and I teach an online course called how to become a proficient snowboarder in three Days. Okay. It's an online course. You're gonna go from total newbie, being able to go down, you know, blue runs, for example. In my course, I cover a whole lot of things from balance, from stance, from gear, from going down the hill, from getting off the chair lift. But what is their biggest concern and fear? Obviously, it's getting hurt, right? They don't want to get hurt. So I'm going to create a short PDF, a one pager, a cheat sheet about that five pieces of gear that you can buy for your trip to reduce your chances of getting injured the first day you hit the slopes. The truth is, is that the first day of snowboarding, you're going to be falling a lot, so you want to make sure you don't get hurt. This will be a quick cheat sheet showing you the five pieces of gear that are going to help you soften that blow when you fall down. Why am I creating this cheat sheet? Because I want to be able to turn this into a value knowledge sharing bomb. Okay. It's going to be something that's going to blow them away. Okay. It's going to be a one pager. Why a one pager? Because I want them to be able to consume it quickly and get value quickly. Now what am I going to do with that? Well, I'm going to create an automated webinar. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Omar, what do you talk about? Automated webinar? We just talked about a PDF. Yes. One of the things we've learned over time is that people learn in different ways. They like to read, they like to see visuals, but they also like to just be told what to do. Have you ever wanted to learn something. Just like, just tell me what to do. So a lot of people, they grow their email list, they get leads by using video or they use a PDF. What we're gonna do is that we're gonna do both. So the first step is that we're gonna create an automated webinar that's really short. This automated webinar is about five, 10 minutes long. And literally what I'm doing is I'm going to give them a downloadable PDF and then on the video in the recorded automated webinar, I'm gonna just share my screen and explain that PDF. I'm gonna walk them through each piece of gear that they can buy. I can literally just go to Amazon and show them, here, buy it here. Here's my affiliate link or whatever. The point here is that I'm explaining the cheat sheet. Why am I doing this? This is killer, by the way, guys. I'm doing this because I want to be able to get them to opt in for a tremendous amount of value. They're not only getting a great little cheat sheet, a one pager, but I'm showing them then and there how to get the most out of it. The other thing is that I'm ensuring they are actually consuming the PDF. I don't want them to download the PDF and just throw it away or forget about on their hard drive or delete it when they empty their download folder. Right. I want to ensure that they get the value. So when I explain it on the video, it just kind of makes sure in the next five to ten minutes they got the value. So this is the first part of the funnel. I create an automated webinar. If you're wondering, hey, Omar, how do I create an automated webinar? Is this hard? What time do I make it on demand? What about the PDF? How do they download it? I explain all this in the workshop I mentioned@webinarnasia.com workshop. Just go ahead and sign up for free and you will see, step by step, exactly how to pull this off. It's super, super simple. So that's the first part of the funnel. Now, at the end of the video, in my automated webinar, I invite them to a live webinar. I say, hey, this is just one part of my total course. I have a big course on snowboarding for beginners, if you like. This little tutorial just gave you this little PDF I want to show you. I want to give you a demo. I want to walk you through my full course so you can find out if it's a good fit for you. This is a great way to invite somebody to a live webinar because you are prefacing, hey, on this webinar, I'm going to be showing you my product. I'm going to be selling you the product and they know it. And you're saying, sign up so you can find out if it's a good fit for you. It's inviting people that are actually interested in buying. So you don't have tire kickers and then you just send them to your live webinar link. How do you do that? I will show you on the workshop webinar. Ninja.com workshop. You got it. And I will run a live webinar every two weeks. So the automated webinar kind of just feeds me a bunch of great leads, warm leads, people that are interested, people that I have built trust with through my PDF and explainer. Now I'm getting them on my live webinar. On the live webinar, I literally show them what I got. Hey, hey, my name and soa. So I built this thing. This is what the thing has. I just show them module after module, video after video. This is what my course includes. These are the bonuses, this is the price. This is the community comes with. And then it's a very simple formula. I outline three big pain points. My avatar has. You know, if you have these three pain points, if you are afraid of embarrassing yourself in front of your friends, if you're worried about getting injured on your first day on the slopes, if you've been dying to learn how to snowboard for some time but just never pulled the trigger, this course is for you. So you're going to outline three pain points or three issues or problems that your potential customer have, and then just say, hey, this is who this course is for. Then you can outline how can you buy. Okay, buy by giving them your offer. I'll show you in webinar ninja and the workshop how you can build your own custom offer so you can sell your online course. If you don't have a preferred online course platform on the workshop, I will show you which one I think you should use and how you can get it for free. So now I have two parts of my funnel. I have the lead generation, I have the sales generation. Now I need to make sure I continue to get new clients, new customers. And this is what's called the flywheel. I want to complete the circle. So the third part is I'm going to be giving workshops, live webinars for my customers. But these are not going to be regular types of webinars. These are going to be paid webinars. They're going to be maybe two hours long. You can call them a boot camp, but basically it goes in depth with a topic that somebody might be interested in. Now, these don't have to be expensive. In fact, I don't think they should be expensive at all. I think they should just be enough so people have skin in the game. $19, $29, I would say nothing more than $50. You're going to create a paid webinar and you're going to charge, let's say $29 for this two hour bootcamp. Again, choose a specific topic that your audience would be interested in. You can sell it to your current members, people that already bought because you're going to be answering questions. You're going to be doing some coaching, but you're also going to invite anybody that has not bought your online course yet. Whether they went through the automated webinar funnel part and they didn't buy or they didn't buy on the live webinar, you're going to invite those people on. Hey, you might have not wanted to invest, you know, $2,000 for my course, but I have this bootcamp that's $29. Again, we're building trust. I'm showing them. Hey, if you just give me a try with a very low commitment, you'll be able to see the value that I offer. So, one, you're selling to your current customers and giving great information. Two, you're selling to people that didn't buy your, you know, flagship product. Now, the killer is, is that on this webinar you have happy customers who have bought from you before singing your praises to people that have not bought your course. They're going to mention the course, you're going to mention the course and you're going to give them a special offer. Hey, for those who are on the bootcamp today who have not joined our full fledged course on snowboarding, you'll get a special offer if you haven't joined yet. This completes the flywheel and the funnel for you to continue to get new customers.

Now you might be asking, hey, why do you charge for that boot camp? Why do you charge $29 or $39 for that boot camp and sell it to your customers or sell to non customers? Well, there's a lot of reasons. Number one, here are the facts. Your number one customers are your customers, alright? People that actually have already bought from you, they're sold from you, they are happy to buy more from you. And if you can offer more value, they want it. So that's number one. Number two, I've learned throughout the years and through all the great books I've read on sales and marketing, there are three types of potential customers. There are people that are going to buy anything you put down, okay? And those are your current customers, people that bought your course right away. Number one, people that you love. Right? There's going to be another group of people that it may take a little longer or the right circumstance for them to be able to buy your product. And this is why we offer a low ticket kind of offer. They weren't ready to pull a trigger on something that's a little bit more expensive, but they're happy to spend $2939 to give it a shot. This is the same customer that buys, you know, an iPad mini or an iWatch before they buy a 3000 MacBook Pro. They like to test the waters a little bit. They like to dip their toe before they commit. And then the third type of customer is the type of customer that just, it doesn't matter. It's just going to take them time before they buy or they won't buy at all. Okay? This type of customer just takes a long time to make a decision. They drag their fee and sometimes they just never pull the trigger. And the way to filter between these customers is to pull this funnel off, okay? And that price point, that low price point of $29.39 is differentiating between customer number two and three. The people that are just willing to dip their toe or people that just, you know, they're just not there yet. And what happens is that a lot of people just sell to all their customers the same way. And that doesn't work. The other reason why it's great to have these little small boot camps and charge for them is because you can take that cash that you make from those small boot camps and use it to spend on paid advertising. And I'll show you how you can that on the workshop as well. It's incredible because you're basically funding your own marketing. So the more of these workshops you sell, the more ads you can run, the more people you can fill in your initial part of the funnel with the automated webinar. And you guessed it, they go to the live webinar. You make the sales, you know the system. Now again, if you want the full details of how to pull this off, if you want a demo of how to do this with our software webinar Ninja one software to do this whole funnel, just go to webinar ninja.com workshop. Thanks so much for listening to the 100 MBA show as we sign off on the last day of 2021. I want to leave you with this. This year has been challenging for many. I know it's been challenging for us and our business in many different ways. Whether your business had to deal with massive growth in hiring or you had to pivot and change because a lack of growth, my advice to you when it comes to next year is take control of what you can control. And what you can control is your effort and your planning. I like to commit to the first quarter being my strongest quarter. Why? If I start the year strong, surpassing my goals, making more revenue, more sales than I expected, growing my business, it creates a sense of momentum that pushes us through throughout the year. That allows us to kind of push through when things get hard in Q2, 3 and 4. But when you start off slow, when you start off not hitting your stride, it's hard to make up for lost time. So I encourage you to write down what are the top goals that you want to achieve in 2022? What are the things that you want to achieve in Q1, and how are you going to aggressively go after it? What are the steps you're going to take to move forward? These are hard questions, but they're important to answer. You got this and I'm here to help you every day along the way with our daily podcast episodes. Thanks so much for listening and I'll check you in 2022 in Monday's episode. I'll see you then. Take care. Hey Fidelity what's it cost to invest.
