Listen in on Friday just like today to see if you won. We announced this week's winner a little bit later in the episode. Thank you in advance for showing us love on Apple Podcasts. In today's lesson, you will learn how to increase your profits with lower prices. Many people believe that if I need to make more money, more revenue, more profits, a good way to entice customers is to drop my prices and I'm here to tell you that is not the way to do it. You can attract customers with low prices without dropping your prices. How? Well, I'll explain in today's episode. Having a lower price point can definitely help you attract new customers that are on the fence, but how you do this is very important. So you don't devalue your products and services. You want this to be additional revenue, not less revenue that replaces your current revenue. I'm gonna break it down in today's episode so you can bring in more customers so you can earn their trust, gain credibility and be able to grow your business on many levels. So let's get into it. Let's get down to business. Gas, snacks, tolls. This trip is draining my wallet.
Yeah, but we'll be with family.
You're in a good mood. What's your deal?
What's my deal? I saved at Metro with no activation fees and I got one line of 5G for just $25 per month. Kept the phone I love and a 5 year price guarantee on my top.
Tuxt and data detour to Metro. Get that more for your money feeling only at Metro by T Mobile. Just bring your number. $30 first month and $25 after with autopay not available if with Metro or T Mobile in the past 180 days. So like I mentioned at the top of the episode, lowering your prices is something that I highly discourage anybody who speaks to me and asks for business advice. Dropping your prices is a zero sum game. You eventually will get to zero if you keep competing on price with your competition. So when it comes to your existing products and services, don't lower your price. In fact, I always recommend to revisit your pricing and increase your price. As long as you're delivering more value, exponentially more value, and you're displaying that value, you should be okay. So how are you going to make more money with lower prices then? Well, you're going to look at your current products and services and you're going to create a mini version of that product or service, a limited version. So for the sake of today's episode, I'm going to give you an example. Let's say I'm a business coach and my main product or my main service is one on one coaching and I charge $10,000 for a year of one on one coaching. Instead of saying, hey, I want to bring in more clients, I want to coach more people, let me drop my coaching fee to $5,000 so that I can help people that are a little bit skeptical. Keep your $10,000 coaching package, keep it there because people, people will buy that and more people will buy that. In a moment I'll explain. What you want to do though is what kind of value can you offer for minimal amount of money that will give them a taste of what you offer in your flagship product or services. So in this example, it could be group coaching Sessions or just one group coaching session. So you might want to offer one 2 hour group coaching session on a particular topic of your expertise. So if I was a basketball coach, I might want to offer, hey, I'm going to do a group coaching session with 25 people. It's going to be two hours and we're just going to focus on free throw shooting. And this group coaching session is only $99, really, really low. Now this is only going to cost you two hours of your time, a bit of preparation, and you're basically going to pull out a module of your training or your coaching and present it as a standalone product at a low price and this becomes sort of your entry level product. You're adding to your products and services. With a low price product. This is almost like getting paid to market to them. Why? Because somebody who's not totally convinced or confident or ready even to pay for your $10,000 coaching, $99 is like a no brainer. Okay, I'll spend $99, I'll spend two hours with this coach, see what he or she can teach me. And it's for you. It's an opportunity for you to prove yourself, gain credibility, build trust. Because if you deliver on that two hour workshop, they're going to be sold on the year long training. Now this is not something I made up. This is something that's known in business called a value ladder. So most people, they have only one or two rungs on their value ladder or steps in their value ladder. And it's usually the top two steps or maybe one step, which is that $10,000 product I mention. For example, what you need to do is add some steps to get you there, to get the customer there actually to the higher steps of the ladder. Another low price product could be an ebook. A $10 $15 ebook is an easy way to learn more about what you have to offer without shelling out a whole lot of money. It might even be the first step before they take the $99 workshop. These low price products are sort of a paid opt in, a paid lead magnet. A way for people to say, hey, I'm gonna put some skin in the game, pay a little bit of money, learn, grow and just get used to your style of business and coaching. Now this can be applied to any kind of product or service. It doesn't have to be coaching. In fact, if you look at a lot of different businesses and products and brands out there, they use the value ladder model all the time. For example, Apple products Not all their products are thousands of dollars. There are products that start on the value ladder. One of the most popular best selling products are the original AirPods. They start at $130, very inexpensive compared to a $3,000 laptop or a $5,000 Pro desktop. They're just trying to sell you something that is high quality, that you're absolutely going to love and say, wow, Apple products are great. What else can I get from them? So add products to your own value ladder and get people into your ecosystem, into your customer base with low priced products that earn trust, that earn you credibility and warm up your leads. Plus you're making money right when you sell that ebook, when you sell that workshop, it's revenue that helps you increase your overall profits in the business.

To wrap up today's lesson, you can take advantage of of creating small, valuable products and services.
