I'm gonna explain each five online businesses give you examples of real businesses that do this in the real world so you can look them up and see them and how you can get started with each example right now. It's going to take a little sweat, take a little energy, a little time. But you don't seem like the person that kind of shies away from hard work. So let's start. And this one might surprise you, you might have heard of this one a million times, but never really considered it. But I want you to consider it and that's start a blog. Blogging has been basically here since the beginning of the Internet. And even though it's old school, it's still incredibly powerful when it comes to search engines. It's easy to get traffic to a website that has a very strong blog. When I got started in online businesses over two decades ago, blogging was online business. That's what people did. People blogged and made money. So how is this done? What are some examples? What do you have to do? Well, a blog is basically like a digital newspaper. You're providing incredible articles on your actual site that people find via search engines. They search those keywords or the topic that you write about and they find blog posts on your site. As a blogger, you're part of the media. You are basically a writer that's passionate about a topic. A good example of a really amazing blog and an interesting niche is is Swim University. Swim University is a blog about pool care and hot tub care. It's run by my buddy Matt Giovanesi. He's been running this blog for a very long time and this blog alone makes well over six figures. How does it make money? Well, through a few ways. Number one, affiliate links like Amazon affiliate links for products and things that people would need to take care of their pool. Matt also has his own products like guides and courses on how to take care of your pool. And some people even monetize their blogs with ads, having banner ads and things like that. Matt doesn't do that because he makes plenty with the first two options I mentioned. Matt just focuses on creating great content for his readers, people that are interested in how to take care of their pool or their hot tub. And that's all he does day in and day out. And he's grown an incredible business. And you can get started immediately. You could just fire up a WordPress site and start with creating a blog. And I'm talking about any area, whatever profession you're in, even if it's not a profession, even if you just have experience in an area. So if you have any kind of skill that you can share with the world, you can start an online course. Business elearning is a booming industry and you can easily make six figures if you apply yourself and create great content for sale. Affiliate marketer is a little bit different from a blogger because an affiliate marketer's job is to become an ambassador of a handful of really good products. Don't do what the scammy affiliate marketers do where they basically promote a product every week. A different product every week. What you want to be is like the thought leader for a few products that you love and use regularly. So think about maybe something that you are interested in photography, or maybe it's marketing or maybe it's writing. And think about what are some of the best products out there that have an affiliate program. And basically you train people on how to use this product and become a master at it. And through your training and your content you can use your affiliate link and people buy your product. Some people even offer a special kind of crash course when they buy the product with your affiliate link as a bonus. A good example of this type of business model or way of making revenue is Brennan Dunn. He created a course that's incredible, that's super in depth on how to master convertkit. It's called Mastering Convertkit, which is an email marketing software. And he's kind of like the biggest ambassador or evangelist for ConvertKit because he teaches so many great lessons on how to get the most out of the software on YouTube and on his website over at Create and Sell. Now he sells a course on this topic, but I would probably guess he probably makes more recurring revenue from Convertka as an affiliate than he does on his courses. Business number four an events business. And there's no better time to start one. Right now that Covid is starting to ease and people are happy to get together again in person. Events or even online events are booming. People want connection. And what's great about an events business is it doesn't actually cost you much to get started. You just basically need a website to describe what this event is and a way for them to buy a ticket. You can run multiple events in a year or even every week. I've seen people run smaller meetups every single week that are ticketed. If you're passionate about a topic or a community, this is a great way for you to bring people together and make some money. Now events are actually a lot of work, but what's great about doing several events over and over is that you can use your plan and system for the next one and the next one and the next one. I know this because I'm running a live event this August called oscon. It's for founders in Australia and it's just a lot of work. But because I've done all the planning and everything's in place, the next time I do it, it's going to be so much easier.

All right, let's get to number five. Business number five. And this is actually my favorite and it's a business that I've done and I actually did it at a pretty good level of success. It was the first business I took on and got going right after I left my career in teaching just to make some money and get some traction. And that's a service based business. Service based businesses don't take much to start. You need a simple website explaining what you offer, a way for people to contact you or schedule a call. And that's pretty much it. My service based business was graphic design and website development. I created people's logos and business cards, their websites, their blogs, and I maintained them for them. Now I should say I really didn't create it in the beginning. I did for my first few clients. But once I had a system in place, I outsourced all the work to other creators, other freelancers that are actually better than me, that will do the work for less than I charge my clients and I make the profit. This is called an arbitrage of services and it's very common and most service businesses do this. And it's simple to set up because there's so many gig websites out there. Whether it's upwork or freelancer or even fiverr for some smaller gigs, you can get people to do the work for you in a lot of different areas, whether it's Social media, marketing, graphic design, editing, video, audio, whatever it is. You can start an agency, a service based business in no time and offer some amazing services. The reason why they're going to come to you and you'll succeed is that your interface is going to be amazing, your customer service is going to be amazing, your communication will be amazing, you'll deliver on time. You'll wow them with exceeding expectations. So there you have it guys. Those are the five businesses you could start today. Let's recap.
