All right, let's jump right into my five step process of motivating yourself to get things done when you're in a funk. Step one is the most important step. Because nothing gets done unless we change our mindset. We have to do something to get out of this funk so we can start moving forward. And this step is called remind yourself. Now, I like to do this step outside of where I work, my office. So this might mean stepping out for just a minute, maybe outside the room, or maybe outside in your front yard or your balcony, or even just a quick walk around the block. Five minutes. In these five minutes, we're going to remind ourselves of two things. One, why? Why are we doing this? Remind yourself what's behind this whole motivation of building a business. What are your dream? What are your aspirations? What's the reason? You need to get into gear, right? Because this matters. You got to make it matter. You got to remind yourself, hey, I'm trying to be financially independent. I'm trying to have a profitable asset that will make money when I sleep. I want to have a great lifestyle and more free time. And I need to build a business that can grow and I can hire new people and they can replace me and free me up. Look at your vision board if you need to remind yourself of why you're doing this again and again and again. The second thing we're going to remind ourselves of is what will happen if I don't do this, if I don't get into gear, if I don't do the work that I need to do to be able to fulfill my goals. What are the consequences? Right now, I know it's one day or one moment in time, but one day can become one week. That can become one month, that can become one year. And before you know it, your goals are shattered. Okay? So you need to remind yourself of the consequences of not getting in the mood, right? Not making it happen, not doing the stuff you have to do to build your business. This yin and yang mindset is really, really powerful because it reminds you, hey, I got to do this because I want this. This. This is the way I want my life. And I need to take action so I can get those things. But also, if I don't do these things, these are the things that I'm going to experience, the pain I'm going to experience. Remember, human beings are driven by seeking pleasure and avoiding pain. And you're doing this to yourself. You're exposing yourself to these two emotions in this moment. Next, step two, we're going to create and prune a list. Now, this is not a list of everything you have to do for your business. This is a list what you have to do today, okay? Or whatever time you have left to work on your business right now. So it might be four hours, five hours, okay? We're going to make a list of the things we're going to do. Just have a brain dump, okay? Once you list all those things, I want you to prune this list. I want you to cross out all the things that really don't matter. Ask yourself, do these things really bring in revenue, bring in sales, improve my product, improve the experience for my customers? Or is it just busy admin work or things that I can do later or are not time sensitive, aka most of email and social media and DMs and all that kind of stuff. Prune all that stuff. Only have things that actually move the the needle in your business to help you grow, to help you bring in revenue that improves your customer experience, that actually improve your chances of success. Now that you have this prune list, we're going to move on to step three. Okay? So now I got perspective, right? I got the right mindset. I got a prune list. I'm going to look this list and I'm going to do the easiest task first. So I'm talking about the task that might just take me three, four, five minutes. Why do I do this? Because momentum is incredibly powerful. We don't understand how powerful it is until we experience it. Because you started just like a few minutes ago in a rut, in a funk, not feeling it, not wanting to do anything. And you need to change the narrative with action. You need to show yourself, hey, I'm not that person. I can get things done. And by choosing the easiest thing on the list that takes a few minutes to accomplish, even if it takes 10 minutes, whatever it takes. The easiest thing on my list, I get in a win, right? It's a win in my book. Because we got something done now. We're not totally unproductive, okay? We can say to ourselves, we get things done. You have momentum now. You're starting to feel good about yourself. You actually thought about change and you implemented the change. You've done something to help your business move forward. Okay, step number four. I'm going to go to my list and I'm going to choose something that has a huge impact, a big impact on my business that's going to allow me to get more sales, more customers, grow my reach, get more traffic. Something that's going to really move the needle. So, for example, today one of those things was I had to to finalize my presentation slides and create my webinar for a partner webinar I'm doing for somebody else's audience. An organization asked me to speak about how to sell more coaching through webinars. And I need to finalize this stuff. I need to send them over my title, my slides, and the link for them to share with their audience so they can register for the webinar. This is important why? Because they're going to invite their audience. It's going to be like 500 people on this webinar. If I do my job, I'll convert 10 to 15% of them into customers. At least 50 new customers. For me in my business, that's like $50,000 in sales. When it comes to my arpu. That's a big impact. That is worth my time, and that's worth me getting serious and getting it done. And I like to actually write down what the impact is. I do this equation that I just shared with you, and I write it down and I circle it right next to my task on my to do list and I say, this thing is big, right? This thing is going to allow me to have the potential to make this kind of cash for my business. What can I do with that cash? I can make new hires. I can spend more money on marketing. I can invest in automation and software to help our customer experience all kinds of stuff. Let's get going. Let's get going. And this really motivates me to accomplish this big, hairy goal, this hairy task that I have to do that's going to have a big impact. Okay, let's recap real quick. The first four steps. One, we remind ourselves why we're doing this, all the great things that will happen when we get things done and reach our goals or get closer to our goals and remind ourselves what happens if we don't do this. If we don't get our, you know, our rear ends in gear and make it happen, what are some of the pain we're going to feel. Two, rewrite and prune a list, cut out what doesn't really impact our business. 3. We start with the easiest thing on the list and get some momentum. 4. 4. We then move on to a big impact. One of the biggest impact tasks there. The tasks that are on my to do list. I say, which one here is a huge impact that's going to bring in serious sales for me or help my business in a big way. I write it down, I circle it, I look at it, I say to myself, let's get going.

All right, we covered our first four steps to get out of our funk and get things done. Let's go to step five. And this was my favorite one. And it's make it fun. You gotta make it fun. If you make it fun, you enjoy the process. You thank yourself for actually going through this five step process and getting your rear end in gear, right? How do I make it fun? Well, you could put on some music. You can make yourself your favorite drink, like a coffee or a tea. I put some snacks on the table, too. I put some nuts, maybe some protein balls. I kind of make it a little party for myself, right? Sometimes I even talk to myself. Yes. I pump myself up. Just like you see people in the gym clapping their hands saying, let's go. I do that. Hey, I gotta do what it takes, right? If it gets me pumped, it gets me pumped. You gotta use everything to your advantage. One of my favorite moves to make it fun is I put on a soundtrack, right? Some of my favorite movies that give me great vibes and great feelings. I pop the soundtrack on there. You wanna get really motivated, Put the soundtrack of an action film that you really love. I like to put some Hans Zimmer. It gives my blood pumping, makes me feel like I'm in the moment, that what I'm doing is significant, because it is. I tell myself I got it and I just enjoy the process. Realize that right now is life, right? The present. You going through this process of doing the things you got to do, going through the journey and the struggle of building your business. This is the stuff you're going to remember and reminisce about and you're in it right now. Enjoy it. Have fun. There you have it, guys. Those are my five steps to get out of rut. Motivate yourself and make things happen when you're in a funk. 1. Remind yourself of all the great things that will happen as you move closer to your goal and the things that might happen if you don't do this, if you don't get into gear. 2. Create and prune a list. 3. Start with the easiest task. Get some momentum. 4. Work on a big impactful task. And 5. Have fun. Thanks so much for listening to the $100 NBA Show.
