You could check it out at100mba.net in today's episode you will learn how to shoot a sales video without a camera. Some of the best sales videos out there in the marketplace from the biggest brands have no talent. Meaning that there's no talking head, it's motion graphics, it's typography, it's great animation, it's great music, all combined to create a great ad. So without a DSLR camera or a fancy set or a three point lighting kit, you can create a great video with just your laptop by having you or anybody else appear in it on camera. I'm gonna give you a couple of options, depending on how much time you have and your budget, and walk you through the steps of creating an incredible sales video. I'm gonna actually give you some examples from sales videos of the past and present in our own business. And, and I'll show you how successful they were and how I put it all together. And don't worry, you don't have to be a tech whiz to do these things. There are step by step instructions to show you how to put these videos together. And if you're willing to learn and roll up your sleeves, you can have an epic sales video on your hands in no time. So let's get into it. Let's get down to business. Before we get into the different options of creating a sales video without a camera, let's talk about. Why would you need a sales video in the first place? Well, having an effective sales video on your website can really allow you to describe what you do. Convince the visitor that they need the product because it solves their problem and close a sale in record time. Really, a sales video is a great way to communicate a lot of ideas, sometimes complicated ideas in a simple way that gets people motivated and excited about your products or service. And now, with the technology available and the information on how to use it readily available, you can create some pretty amazing sales videos. In fact, when the iPhone 7 was released about what, 16 months ago, they launched with this incredible typography sales video. It was incredibly effective. And I remember when I saw it, it was just like a light bulb moment. Wow, that was a great video. How can I incorporate the same elements, the same magic into my own sales video? And in fact, when we launched webinar Ninja 5.0 in September, we launched with a sales video that used typography and great music. And I did it myself. A lot of people see that at conferences or they see it on our website and they're like, wow, who did that for you? And I'm like, I did it. Are you some sort of motion graphic whiz? No, I taught myself and I actually put it all together in about a week from start to finish. I put about a week's worth of time and was able to create an incredible sales video that we use on our website, at conferences, in social media, on YouTube, all that stuff. So I'm gonna present you two options depending on how much time and money you have. But before we get into those options, I wanna say that every sales video starts with a fantastic script. There's one thing that's gonna affect how successful your sales video is gonna be. It's the script, it's the actual words that are being said. So you wanna start with a script, and that's literally just opening up a word doc, a Google Doc, and writing down what you wanna communicate. It doesn't really matter at the start. Just do a brain dump of all the ideas you wanna have, One liners, little sound bites, whatever. Later on, you can organize this in a cohesive manner, but having a great script is gonna really take your video to the next level. And you can workshop this and you can edit this and you can share with other people and ask people what they think. If you look at some of the best ads out there, the best sales videos out there on the Internet, the ones with the best script are the ones that are the most effective. The ones that you say, wow, you don't know why it's wild, but it's the script. So I highly recommend you spend time first before you choose any of these two options, writing out a great script. All our sales videos in the past, in the present, started with a script. And I know this is the boring part, and you don't want to sit in front of your computer and write these things down, but it's a great investment and it makes you imagine what kind of video you want to have, what kind of scenario, what kind of story you're going to tell, or what things are you going to highlight in terms of benefits and features with your video. All right, let's talk about the two options you have of shooting a sales video with no camera. So this is a sales video with no talking head. This is just either motion graphics typography, you know, you doing some screenshots, or screen capturing on your actual laptop. So we're gonna go with two options. Option number one, you're gonna build something from scratch using the software you already have on your laptop or computer. And this could be a combination of using your PowerPoint presentation tool, Keynote, as well as doing some screen capturing, meaning you're recording your screen on your computer and you're gonna use a combination of both. So, number one, if you have a course, if you have a software, if you have a digital product, then screen capturing is a great way to show it off. I highly recommend Camtasia either for PC or for Mac. I used to always recommend Screenflow for Mac, but Camtasia released a version for Mac that's really, really good last year. I just got it myself about what, eight months ago, and it is fantastic. It's Got everything you need to have some great screen recordings. Super simple to use, by the way. So with something like Camtasia, you can what's going on your screen? So you can show some demos of your software, you can show inside of your actual members area for your actual course. If you're selling a course, you can show digital versions of your book. If you're selling a book. Camtasia has all the fun tools like titling and lower thirds and transitions and all that stuff. We can also use PowerPoint or Keynote. You can record your screen giving a presentation using this tool. So you can create a really great presentation using great images, have some great transitions through the actual presentation as you're transitioning from one slide to the next. I know that with Keynote, Apple's Keynote, there's something called the magic move that looks really cool and it's a great way to transition from one slide or one point to the next. And you can take your script and implement it in a slide presentation. Remember, visuals are your friend when it comes to screen capturing. So you can either do a fully presentation recording or you can actually incorporate some of your screenshots, your screen record recordings with it, or you can just go purely screen recording if you like. If you have a software, obviously screen recording your software is gonna be one of the easiest things you could do because really people wanna see what the software looks like, how it functions, how do you use it. And I would say the same goes with an online course. You can use a combination of your PowerPoint or keynote presentation, outlining the purpose of the course, the learning outcomes, and then go inside the members area, show them how it all looks, all the benefits, all the features. So this is not going to cost you much money at all. So even if you don't buy Camtasia, which I believe is around $200, you can screen record with your Mac for free with QuickTime doesn't have all the editing software, but you can edit your videos in imovies, which is included in your Mac. And I believe Windows Movie Maker also allows a screen recording. Camtasia is really a huge editing suite. You can really do a lot of editing there and you can edit all your videos in there. So this is really low cost for building an incredible sales video yourself. And it's going to take you a bit of time, you know, put your script together, your slides together and do all the screen recordings, but it's definitely going to be worth it. Option number two is you use a template. You can modify a template and I personally recommend A template that runs off Adobe After Effects, in my opinion, is the best motion graphics tool. All those videos that you see that are using like whiteboard animation and typography and all that stuff that's all done with After Effects. You might be like, whoa, After Effects, this sounds really hard to do. Like you gotta be a tech whiz. I'm self taught. I taught myself how to use After Effects myself. I took a short course on Lynda.com I was on a free trial, so it didn't cost me anything to learn it. And any of the gaps I had along the way, I just youtubed it and found the answer. And really, when you buy a template and I'll show you how, it's pretty straightforward and it's super simple to use. You just need to know how to work your way around After Effects, all the, you know, toolbars and the functions and all that stuff. And a lot of these templates come with instructions on how to edit it, even if you've never used After Effects. Now, After Effects is part of Adobe Suite, but you can buy After Effects Cloud by itself and use it on your computer for only $20 a month. So if you only need it just for this project, it's gonna cost you $20. Not bad at all. Now, if you wanna buy an After Effects template and customize your template, whether you wanna do animation characters, whether you wanna do whiteboard animation, whether you wanna do typography, I highly recommend you check out videohive.net and you can buy one of these After Effects templates from somewhere in between $40 and $60, sometimes a little bit more. And when you go to videohive.net, you're going to realize there's a lot of templates out there, a lot to choose from. So how do you know what to choose? Well, your script is your guide. That's why it was so important to write your script first. You're going to have your script in front of you and see what template would work best for your script. Never go backwards. Always start with the script. The script is find the template that fits the script, not the other way around. So whether you want to have, you know, these animated characters with the backgrounds changing scenes, or you want somebody explaining it through a whiteboard presentation, there's a template for every situation on Videohive. Now, these templates come with instructions, shows you how to edit these templates, change the colors, the logos, all that stuff. And it's going to take some time to learn After Effects. I would Say it would probably take you a week to get a good foundation of After Effects so you can edit this. So if you have a week of time, great. I would grab After Effects for at least a month or two. Use it. Try some of the tutorials. I highly recommend the After Effects tutorials on Lynda. I know there's some on Udemy as well. If you don't want to sign up for Lynda there, you can do a la carte at Udemy. But overall it's not so complicated. You can learn and it's a lot of fun actually. So you got your template, you've bought it, there's instructions. You can modify it, make sure it follows your script. Now, some of these videos you're gonna have to narrate, you can have to record on a mic. But if it's a typography video, there's a good chance you're not gonna have to narrate cause they're just gonna read what's on the screen. But if you do have to narrate, I highly recommend you pick up a quality mic. I highly recommend the Audio Technica ATR2100. It's a USB mic. Plug and play. It's super simple to use. Just plug it into your laptop or computer and you can just use any audio recording software, whether it's, you know, QuickTime with Apple or Audacity, which is free. You can download and use that for your PC so you can create a great motion graphics video using your template. Learning after effects in about two weeks and in about $100. Not bad at all, guys.

A great music track can really, really sell your sales video. And I'm a big believer of great music that goes well with your template or go with your video. And a good place to buy great stock royalty free music that you have the rights to use is audiojungle.net, it's from the same people that provide the templates. Audiojungle.net allows you to choose some great tracks for your video. Often if you're getting a template from VideoHive, they recommend a great track that goes with this template and you can, you know, click the link and go to Audio Jungle to grab it, but you can change that track. You can use whatever track you want and add it to your template or, or add it to your video if you're doing it yourself in option one with, you know, Camtasia or Quicktime or whatever you use to edit your videos, at the end of the day you're gonna be able to export an MP4 file, a video file where you can upload it to YouTube, you can upload it to Vimeo or Wistia or whatever you use and embed it on your website or share on social media. This is a lot of fun, guys. I absolutely love creating sales videos and kind of doing it off camera is sort of a challenge that I love. It requires you to really hone in your skills when it comes to your script and your creativity. Guys and gals, I hope you found today's episode helpful, useful, and you go ahead and start building your sales video now. That's it for me, guys. But before I go, I want to leave you with this. These little projects in your business. Creating a sales video are one of the things I really enjoy because it's like a sense of accomplishment. Every time you create a new one, you try to improve upon the last one. And every time we create new sales video, I'm thinking, how can I improve upon our last sales video? How can I make it different? How can I make it more creative? How can we make it more effective? It's also a good idea to get feedback from your customers about why they found that video effective. Email some of your star customers, ask them for feedback about your previous sales videos. See what they like they don't like, so you can improve upon the next one.
