A person struggles with faking contentment at a job they hate, especially watching Jamie genuinely enjoy her boss. They can't reconcile the dishonesty, losing sleep over the gap between how they feel and what they'd need to pretend.

I don't think I could sit with that on my soul personally. I would wake up in the middle of the night sweating. What else can I do to be useful? No, and the other thing too is Jamie actually did mention a detail which was she really likes her boss. So it's not even like, oh yeah, because they don't make her do anything. I'd like my boss too. It's like they have a good relationship, like the boss is like a smart guy, like whatever. And I'm like, I would feel like I'm lying. And I can't sit with that.
