In this segment, the speaker outlines a simple weekly reflection practice he calls the "cherry on top" of the week. At the end of each week he records three sets of five items: (1) five wins – any positive actions or achievements, no matter how small, to acknowledge success; (2) five learnings – insights or lessons from the week, often captured as memorable quotes, for which he maintains a spreadsheet of over 3,400 personal and external quotes; and (3) five authentic interactions – meaningful connections with others that foster gratitude. He emphasizes that the exercise is easy to start, builds a habit of gratitude, and can be shared or blogged about. The routine serves to translate unfinished tasks into the next week while keeping focus on positivity and personal growth.

The cherry on top, the cherry on top of the week are these 3 things. Um, I record at the end of every week my 5 wins for the week. I write those down and, um, guys, I don't have to look very hard, so I'm not like trying to mine those. It's amazing. And I know we're all from the same kind of cut from the same fabric. It won't be that hard to find. And maybe in the beginning it'll be like, okay, the win for today, this week, one of the things was I took a walk. Good. That's not, that's not a low expectation. That's like, I took time out to take a walk today. I'm sure, you know, the hippies out there would love that if that was one of your wins for the week. Yeah. Um, so, so, you know, maybe we should call these, what are your 5 hippie wins for the week? I like that. Um, because, because that would be a whole different generated list, right? But what are your 5? Very good. Yeah, maybe I'll blog on that. Please do that. Please do that. I love reading her. Every once in a while she does a blog based on something we talked about. I'm like, oh, I love that one. The second piece on the cherry on top is what are 5 learnings from the week? That's harder for me to get to, but I love to sit back and think, what did I learn this week? Huge, huge for me. Yeah. And, and one of the things that I love to do with that is I write down quotes from the week, either my quotes or quotes from other people, you know. And that's really good stuff too. And, and I think I've shared, I now have a quote Excel spreadsheet with 3,400 quotes on them. Yeah, from things, things that I've said, things I've heard other people say. So, so I think that's one, that's number 2. And the 3rd thing I write down at the end of every week are what are 5 authentic interactions I had this week? These 3 things, what are the wins, the learnings, and the interactions that I had, put gratitude in my heart. And we all have 5 interactions that went well this week. It could be, it could be my wife. It could be, it could be you guys. It doesn't matter, but I have 5, I have 5 authentic interactions. But after you translate all those undone to-dos from last week to the next week, do these things, put this cherry on top.
