Hero's Journey: Embrace Hardships for Growth #inspiredleadership #purpose #legacy #storytelling

Hardships are a part of the learning. Many of you have probably looked at, read, or studied Joseph Campbell and the Hero's Journey. And again, this didn't come from Brendan, but it came from one of Brendan's CHBCers, Paula Abreu. If you're out there, hello, Paula. She gave me some great advice too, and she said, when you take people to these places, inevitably somebody's going to have some travel issues getting there. And if you adopt the hero's journey, so we do like 2 or 3 prep calls before people go. So that's a key piece too. But then when we do the prep calls, I say, hey, we're, we're, we're on hero's journey. And so when difficult things happen along the way, you've already started the quest. You've already started the journey to this sacred place. And so when those difficulties arise, what are you learning from that? How did the universe absolutely give you this for the right learning? And that's been so awesome because almost every time somebody has a travel problem, but they're not blaming us. And so the hardships are part of the learning. Ooh, write that down.
