A framework for relationship building in 2023 divides people into four categories: customers, collaborators, connectors, and coaches. For each group, set specific goals, choose which individuals to engage with, and plan concrete outreach actions to amplify your impact.

Relationships. What are your relationships part of your significant impact plan? And oh, this is so good to think about relationships. I put these in 4 categories. So what are your relationship goals for next year? What's your plan for next year? And so the first one I'll say is customers. And think about customers. What are your— who are the customers you want to touch next year? If you're In corporate, this might be, you're working with clients right now, and who are they? And how do you want to engage them? How many do you want to engage? So that's one piece of this, is looking at that. And then, so that's customers, but it's also past customers. So you've worked with customers or clients in the past, but you haven't contacted them in 20 years. Some of those people, might be worth reaching out to them now. So past, present, and then future customers or prospects. So what's your customer base look like, and how do you want to engage them? That's one part of relationships for your significant impact. So important to engage, you know, these enriching relationships throughout the year. The second category are collaborators. So you've got clients or customers, and then you've got collaborators. And I think of this as team. Who is your team? Who are your partners that you're going to work with? Who are you going to affiliate with to build those dreams, that vision to come true? There's a great quote: if you can do your dream alone, you're not dreaming big enough. You need, you need those collaborators to make it go. I certainly do. So who are you going to collaborate with this year? Who you're going to link into and go like, "Yeah, I'm going to link with this person and we're going to join together and create something awesome in the world." That's collaborators. Third one, connectors. Who are the big connectors that you're going to be with? So it may not be a collaborator, but it's something like, "I connect with this person because it opens up a whole world of people." So for example, for me, I work with Brendon Burchard. Burchard's group, and so he has a mastermind. Well, joining his mastermind isn't just joining his mastermind for him. I join his mastermind for the people he collects around him. He is a connector for me as well. So that's really important. Who are the connectors? Who is a portal for getting into a space that you aren't in today? How is that important? That's another important relationship to have. The last C category, we've talked about clients, we've talked about collaborators, we've talked about connectors. Coaches! Who are you going to have as a coach? I'd love to be your coach, but who is your coach? Who's going to help you build that significant impact in your world to create, to make this plan come true for you? Find the right coach, the right skills, the right energy, and the right competencies to make that— your significant impact happen in the world. So coaches, those are the 4 big categories: clients, collaborators, connectors, and coaches.
