I have 4 keys to successful monthly rhythms. So here we go. Here's my 4 keys. You guys probably have 20 other ones here too, which is all good. But the first one that I have, the first key is a monthly routine. And, and many folks don't have a monthly routine. So, monthly routine for me started When I was in consulting, 28 and a half year career, the 15th and the last day of every month was time reports. And even today, 7 years out, the 15th of the month and the 30th of the month, the 31st or the 28th of the month, I think I get a little tick or something, you know, that happens like, oh, I got, I got to do my thing today. Right. So, and usually the end of month, especially if you, if you were a manager, you know, you had to pull together other financials, other things because that really mattered. And so built into my system is a monthly routine, establish a monthly routine. Okay. Now, when, when I left, I had a bit of a problem with that, meaning I wanted to do Sundays. Okay, that sounds simple. Okay, if you have a planner, what Sunday do you choose for your monthly routine? Do you do it like when the month hasn't started yet, or do you do it after the month has started? This was a big dilemma for me. And, you know, okay, so this tells you how geeky I am. The reason why it's a dilemma is because the spreadsheets never matched up right. And I didn't want to do the monthly routine on a Wednesday or a Friday or, you know, that kind of stuff. I always wanted to do it on a Sunday. So I'm not saying you should do it on Sunday, but pick a day that you should do it on and, and do that date. So, for me, my rule of thumb, this is so geeky. My rule of thumb is on that Sunday, if there's 4 days or more in that month on that Sunday, then that's when I do it. So if it's the 30th and the 31st and then 1, 2, 3, 4, then I do, that's the next month's review. Does that make sense for folks? If it's the 28th, then, you know, and I have the first on a Saturday or something like that. No, no, no. I have, I, that's the month before. Okay. But that's just because I'm trying to get my spreadsheets to line up. Do you guys have a monthly review time set up?
No. Set up, but do I do anything other than knowing that it exists? But no.
All right. So that's the first challenge, you guys. What sounds right to you? The first Sunday of the month that it's a new month or 4 days or what makes sense to you? What makes sense to do a monthly review?
