A framework for finding ambassadors to launch a movement. Look for people who share your passion, feel the potential energy in a community, see what's wrong with the status quo, and believe the mission is achievable despite being ambitious.

To start a movement, your community, you need ambassadors. Write it down. You need ambassadors. So if you got the first steps down, you've overcome your inertia, you got your clarity about how you start. But let's talk about ambassadors. And I've got a framework for this. So if you're tapping into this potential energy, this coiled spring that's out there, you need like-minded people. You need like-minded people. So I've got 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6— 6 pieces here of who you're looking for. Okay, here we go. First one, they share passion and maybe even an overlap in your life mission. They share passion with your mission. You share passion with this. So you gotta, you gotta find people that go like, you know, they go like, that's it. Oh my gosh, I wish I could join you. It's like, yes, there's this passion. Okay, so share passion and overlap of your life missions. They have their life mission too. I'm also wary people go like, oh, I love what you're doing. It's like, what are you doing? It's like, I'm not sure. It's like, no, you're just capturing my passion. You're just like joining my energy. What's your life mission? What's the thing you're doing? And those are two puzzle pieces that should fit together. I mean, it's great if people want to join me because they have passion about, like, because they catch my energy, but they've gotta have something with their, that their life mission and my life mission, we're both passionate about it separately. And then together it's like, boom. Okay, you guys are— you're shaking your head at that. You know the difference, and we've experienced that difference too. Okay, second one: awe. There's awe in recognizing similar mindsets. You just get awed by the other person. It's like, no, that's so totally surprised me, but yes, I have the same view of the thing. I just say— I name it differently. And I, I look at my Wisdom Council community, and, and so many times people say stuff and it's like, I wish I had said that, you know, because they're like, dang, that was so good. And it's like it was bubbling on the front brain, but they said it so well. It's like, that's it, that's the thing. So there's awe in recognizing those similar mindsets. Number 3. That you feel the coiled spring of potential energy in the community. So your ambassador should also feel that coiled spring in the community, ready to unleash stuff. They're going like, yeah, I see it too. So they feel it. They feel that coiled spring is like, yes, let's go after this group. 4th one. They also see what's egregiously wrong. You know, when you want a meaning, you know, uh, revolution— oh, people that are adrift, it's like, oh, you don't need to be adrift. You know, you can just attach on to something, just create that life mission statement. Somebody asked that to me earlier, uh, this week. They said, what's the first step I should take to, um, engage my community? I was like, you got to create a life mission. You know, you got to figure out what you're about, and then you got to see what's egregiously wrong. Okay, number 5: they experience the same disappointments you see when you see those triggers. Like when I said, you make me happy and you don't make me happy, you know, I can see you guys, you were all nodding like, oh yeah, yep, yep, yep, I see that now. Now it may not be that, you know, um, you saw it before that moment, but you're like, oh, I get that, I get that. So, so they experience disappointment when seeing the same triggers, and then they agree that your mission is ambitiously possible. It's like, ooh, that looks big, but let's get this done.
