In this segment, the speaker outlines a structured weekly rhythm designed for high‑performing individuals and consultants. The core idea is to define a set of "minimum requirements" that, if met, guarantee a successful week. The speaker recommends identifying three key projects and the specific milestones to achieve for each, as well as three strategic contacts to engage with to advance opportunities. By limiting the weekly to‑do list to these six concrete items, the approach helps prevent over‑loading, declog the "sink" of tasks, and maintain a healthy perspective. The speaker also references a coaching principle—set low expectations for clients and overdeliver—and suggests applying the same mindset to oneself, emphasizing that high‑performers can still benefit from modest expectations paired with high execution.

So here's the other one is perspective. So the other thing about weekly rhythm is to have a perspective, a healthy perspective. And I like how you framed it too, Paul, is that I think about— and you can't say this to every group that you're with, but you guys, I can say this too— is I, at the beginning of the week, I think about What's the minimum requirements for success this week? Now, for a lot of people, they'd go like, well, you're just like, you're sandbagging the week. It's like, no, no, no. People that are in this community don't sandbag their weeks. So sorry, that doesn't apply. We probably pack way too much. Well, I don't— we probably— we always pack too much into the weeks. We have high expectations for ourselves and our clients. So when you take these high performers then part of this is to say, what are the minimum requirements for the week? Say that it was successful. And, and you kind of named it too. It's like every day, what are the 6 things was what Paul brought out. Um, I, I do similar. I think about this. I say, um, uh, I have 3 projects this week, and what, what's the milestone or or stones. What are the milestones that I need to, to hit for each of these 3 projects? So I might go into the week and say, here's these 3 things, one for each of these 3 different projects that I need to get done this week. And then I also look at, I, I'm gonna talk to 3 people this week. What's, what opportunity am I advancing with 3 people this week? So I kind of walk in with 6 things that, that say, This is what this week would look like as a, as a minimum requirement for success. So again, I want to be careful saying this, it's, it's, um, lower your expectations. Yeah. Um, so again, I'm very careful of saying, you know, lower your expectation because we are high growth need strength people. So we're always, you know, overperforming and, and clogging the sink. The part of it is like you need to declog that thing and just say, what are the minimum requirements for this week? So, so we always tell our clients, we always coach in consulting, set low expectations and overdeliver. Yeah. Well, why don't we do that for ourselves? Well, we don't.
