Use This Powerful Monthly Technique to Increase Clarity, Focus & Productivity - Wisdom4Humanity

Patrick Mosher walks through his monthly review checklist: habits scorecard, business plan, quarterly plan, offer grid, revenue plan, QuickBooks reports, a relationship index of 2,000 contacts, estimating model, work plan with time-tracking, metrics, calendar, and action items. He says the practice reshapes his priorities each month but encourages customizing it to fit your workflow.

The next one, checklist it. Okay. Oh, Patrick, these are so boring. Checklist it. Checklist it. So do you have a checklist? What are the— what should be on your checklist for your monthly review? And I'll just flash this in front of you. I think you can see that. That's my— the front page of my monthly review. You can see over here is my checklist. I'll read the checklist to you. Um, and this is what— and I just review stuff as I run through this checklist. Review my habits scorecard. I review my business plan every first of the month. Paul, that's Paul 5.0 or 6.0, wherever you're at right now, right? Just look at— I just look at it. Just 5.0. I just read it. Just read it. And then I look at it and go like, ooh, you know, every time I look at it and go like, I gotta adjust something and I move something. And then this goes to what Paul, you were saying too. I review my quarterly plan. So I look at the quarterly plan, I review my offer grid, Sean. You know, I look at that and go like, is anything changed on my offer grid? Pricing, new things that I added in every, you know, every couple of months I'm like, You know, I did think of something new. I'm pushing something new. Okay, different. I review my revenue plan, my monthly revenue plan. I close my books and generate reports, QuickBooks. I review my relationship index score. We've talked about that on earlier calls, but I literally have a spreadsheet of my 2,200— is probably 2,400 now. And, and I go through that and I go, who do I need to talk to this month? I review my estimating model. I literally have a work plan. I still do my work plan. It's so disgusting that I do that, but I love it. I just love it. But anyway, so I track all my time. I update my metrics and milestones. I review the calendar in my in my Outlook. I update the rocker board. I call that my, my, the, the, the rocker board on the wall. I have an action item list, and then I back up my hard drives. That's my checklist. Anything you guys would add to that checklist? And you can add, change, delete anything you want with that. The key with that is, um, That takes me quite a bit of time to do all that. So you may not want to do all that. Make the simple thing for you. Make it what's easy for you. For me, every time I do this, it changes what I'm going to do that month. So that's why I keep doing it. I wouldn't do it if it didn't change everything. But every week, every month I go like, ah, I— and Sean, this goes for you. It's like, ah, this was on my list. Yes, this is so important. And, you know, I put it back on to focus on it. Um, cool. Yeah. All right, so checklist it.
