if you're on a prolonged retreat— on my wisdom councils are like this, 4 days, you know, the whole thing is a story. So how do you take this whole thing and break it down? And what I do with this, I, I call those story words. You just kind of did that. Um, when I come back from South Dakota, 3-week ceremony, what I would do instead of, you know, trying to journal everything there was just like impossible. And I wish I'd done this at every one I went to. I did not. But what I would come back and, um, not when I was on the land, but when I would take my— the first stop or something like that, or eat dinner on the way back from South Dakota, I bust out the journal and I would write words, story words. Words that just remind me of things through that happened over the course of that 3 weeks. And it's just like what you just did with your stories, um, of just like, what are some keywords? What I found was if I documented those keywords, if I looked at them even a year later, I could remember everything attached to each one of those. But if I went back and tried to think about like what happened 4 summers ago, I'd be like, I, I have no idea. Does this make sense for folks? So story words are also markers, but it's a way to look at, you know, how to inventory things.
