Paul Woodley connects the Passover lamb to Jesus' crucifixion as the final sacrifice. When Jesus died, the temple curtain tore in two, the earth shook, and a centurion declared, "Truly this was the Son of God."
Why was there a Passover in the first place? What did that mean? Well, it's the same thing. That's the illustration we're learning, is that he, Jesus, was on that cross. He was Jerusalem's very last Passover lamb, okay? Because remember, the, the curtain was torn in two, the earthquake happened, and, and all of that. And even the centurion standing at the cross, like, truly this was the Son of God, right? We see a confession there.
