In this brief sermon, Paul Woodley stresses that salvation comes through grace and faith, not by personal works or moral cleanup. He urges listeners that they need not first ‘clean up’ their lives before approaching God; instead, they should come to God exactly as they are, trusting that God already knows their sins and offers forgiveness through grace.

The point here is that you got to get to a point where you understand that you are a sinner saved by grace through faith, not by works. And that's a whole nother chapter, a whole nother lesson. But if you're a person that's trying to clean up your act before you come to God, first off, let me be the one to tell you, you don't have to. Let me be the one to tell you that come as you are. God already knows what you did.
