In this short teaching, Paul Woodley examines the biblical passage (verse 2) that describes a large crowd following Jesus. He explains that the primary reason the crowd was drawn to Jesus was because they witnessed the signs and miracles He performed, specifically the healing of many sick people. The crowd’s motivation is presented as a response to visible evidence of Jesus’ power, which attracted and sustained their following.

That's the location. And we see here that in verse 2, there's a large crowd. So that's the first kind of people group that we're seeing. There's a large crowd that was following him. Why were they following him? Verse 2 tells us why: because they saw the signs that he was doing on the sick. So he's healing sick, many people that are sick, and so he's drawing a crowd and they're all following him.
