It is 6 questions in 7 minutes because successful business leaders are busy and rarely have more time to spare. So let's get to it. Question number 1: In a few sentences, tell me who you are and what you do.
Hi everybody, my name is Youssef Nesmi. I am the CEO of Fame Marketing here in Campbell, California. We pride ourselves in being Silicon Valley's expert in lead generation.
Yusuf, it's great to have you on the show. Question number 2: What's the best thing about working in your industry?
The best thing about working in our industry is we get to combine a little bit of creativity with business growth. So we get to use our creative minds to create awesome marketing material and ads and all that fun stuff while also generating results for our clients. So it's kind of a win-win with that.
Excellent. Question number 3: I hear from other business leaders that staying in a good work-life balance for them and their team members is a challenge. What are your thoughts?
Yeah, absolutely. Um, in today's age, it's kind of— you work a bunch of random hours. Um, And so essentially with us is we try to stay, we try to build an atmosphere in where it's a fun place to work, where everybody gets along, at least in the office. And essentially I think the key for that is just creating a fun environment that is also rewarding for everybody that works for the company.
Hmm, fun and rewarding. I can imagine that that is a great motivator for the people on your team.
Yeah, it's got to be nowadays, man. You're competing against some tech giants that have daycares and, uh, you know, crazy stock options and so forth. So for a smaller, medium-sized businesses, uh, got to do what we can.
That's great. Question number 4, what other business leaders like yourself should be on my podcast?
Um, you know, I think anybody that's in, um, I can't give you like specific names, but there's a few companies that are looking to do a lot more AI type of enhancements through marketing and through advertising. I think some of the products that are out there are awesome, and I think you got some of those folks that definitely make for an interesting podcast.
I agree, I agree. Thank you for that. Question number 5: What insight or advice would you give to other business leaders?
Yeah, just go after it. You know, a lot of people right now are tending to get comfortable. We're in a pretty solid economy. And everybody's just kind of coasting their way through. I just say keep your foot on the pedal and just keep expanding, keep your mind growing, keep your business growing, and your spirit growing.
Sound advice there. And question number 6: tell me about your first job.
My first job was actually, I was selling newspapers door-to-door. When I think I was like 17, there wasn't much money into it, but I guess that's where the hustle comes from. Just, you know, knocking on doors and selling paper for, I think, a $5 monthly subscription back then.
That's awesome. That was actually my first job as well, so I can appreciate that. So Yusuf, thank you for being on the show. How can people find you?
Yeah, thank you for having me. Yeah, so we have several methods of finding us. Obviously our website's number one, FameMarketing.com. That's spelled F-A-I-M-Marketing.com. Obviously we do all the social media stuff, so you can pretty much just type in Fame Marketing in Facebook. For IG, I think it's Fame_Marketing. And then lastly, LinkedIn, of course, is one of our favorite channels. So it would just be my name, Yussef, Y-U-S-S-E-F, last name Nesmi, N-E-S-M-I.
