What type of content can you produce sustainably over an extended period of time? Samir Chaundry from Collin and Samir talked recently about finding content market fit, the intersection between what you want, what your audience wants, and what the platform wants. And he pointed out that what you want is the most important thing because it takes time to find the other two. You need to like the content you're making so that it's sustainable for you to produce it over a long period of time. So here's my challenge to you content creators out there. Take a minute and forget what you've been doing. Think about what your ideal content looks like, something you enjoy and you're good at, or at least you can become good at. Then think about who that content can serve, what type of person likes it, and what platforms do they spend time on. Finally, look at what formats that platform promotes. Is it 30 second videos, long form podcasts, or maybe written out content? Once you've answered those questions, you've found content market fit. So ask yourself.
