A short YouTube 'shorts' clip (Craft a Life You're Proud Of #shorts) featuring a two-speaker exchange where Speaker A reprimands people who make excuses and insists that those who cannot take responsibility for their life situation have no place in their life. Speaker B offers a typical excuse ("I was busy"), which Speaker A rebuts by stressing that everyone is busy and must not let obstacles derail their goals. The clip frames personal responsibility as essential for relationships and success; created/uploaded by Peter Vander Wall on March 18, 2024.

If you can't take responsibility for your actions, you have no place in my life. Like people who are just making excuses.
And oh, you know, I was trying to work out this week but you know, I just got busy.
We're all busy, man. We all have excuses we could come up with. We all have things that get in the way of our goals. But the difference between you now and your idealized version of yourself that you want to become is whether you let obstacles stop you along the way. And so the people who are making excuses, the people who can't take responsibility for the fact that their life situation is their fault, whether that's good or bad, these people just don't have any place in my life. Life. I'm not going to do business with you, I'm not going to be your friend, I'm not going to spend time around you because I cannot afford to have that rub off on me.
