A short first-person monologue by a 21-year-old entrepreneur arguing against following the traditional “safe” path (good grades → college → steady job → saving for retirement). The speaker describes dropping out of college, quitting their job, investing personal funds and borrowed resources into building a business and coaching, and encourages taking calculated entrepreneurial risks rather than only ‘safe’ ones.

The worst advice I ever received was to take the safe route. People told me to get good grades and go to college and pursue a good job and save my money and invest in a retirement account and all of these things that are considered the traditional path or the safe path. But you know what I did instead? I dropped out of college. I quit my job. I went all in on a business. I spent all my money on growing the business. I invested money I didn't have at the time into coaching programs to learn the skills required to continue building this business. And here I am today, a 21 year old kid making, making more money than anyone who told me to follow the safe path. I listened to the few people who were affirming my entrepreneurial aspirations. And ultimately I believe I listened to the plan God had for my life. And so if that's you today, drop out of school, quit your job, spend the money on those ads for your business, invest into that mentor to learn the next skill set. Don't take stupid risks, but also don't pass up on good ones.
