If you're a guy in your 20s and you're not surrounding yourself with ambitious, like minded people, you're destined for a life of mediocrity. If all of your friends are focused on partying, hooking up with girls, looking cool, then you need to break up with them. In this time of your life, focus is your most valuable asset. Think about it. You can enjoy these couple years of youth, have years and years of hard labor ahead of you for the rest of your life, or you can work hard for these few years while you've got the energy, probably don't have a whole lot else going on, and you can architect the rest of your life, turning your vision into a reality. Your choice. If you're trying to build something and your friends are just out partying, they're going to break your focus. Leave them. There are friends for you out there who are doing the same thing and have the same dreams as you. Game attracts game. If you improve your life, you'll find better friends and better friends will improve your life. And it's a cycle. And this cycle goes both ways. It could go negative with bad friends, or it could go positive with great friends. Building a business, improving yourself, all of these things will attract like minded people and give you opportunities to build a new life with a new community, chasing your new vision.
