The number one thing people need to focus on initially is putting out content that genuinely adds value to their audience without asking for anything in return. And you need to do this over a very long period of time. Some of you may have seen a guy named Ryan Pineda. He's got 300,000 followers on Instagram, and yet he's got videos that do under 10,000 views. And I'm like, what's going on here? This is weird. What I realized was the videos where he's trying to sell something or trying to get you to do something, and he's not just adding value. The videos where he's selling get far less views, on average under half. Just reinforces the fact that you need to add value to your audience, whether that's through teaching them something, entertaining them, otherwise creating content that they genuinely want to watch. And you need to not ask for anything in return.
