The most effective way to avoid burnout is to work a shit ton of hours. But you don't do this forever. By working like mad at the start you're able to generate a ton of revenue, get a ton of new clients and create a large enough business to where you can actually hire. Now if you try to build slow and sustainable right at the beginning, you're going to run into problems because you're going to be working 40 hours a week and you're just never going to grow enough to where you can hire somebody. But imagine if you work like mad 60, 80 hours a week for a full year. You're going to feel really tired and you might hate your job after that year but you're going to have enough going on that you can hire somebody in to do a lot work. You can go on a 2, 3, 4 week vacation with the wife and the kids and then you come back and you work 30 hours a week the rest of your career.
