My business creates almost no profit right now and that's completely on purpose. The reason for that is there's different seasons in business. When you first start, you just need to sell something to somebody. As you grow you get to a point where you actually have to get good at delivering your product or service. If you don't, you'll keep growing for a while but eventually the poor quality of your product is going to handicap you to a point where it's going to be really, really hard to fix. Imagine if your service delivery isn't great. Is it going to be easier to fix that when you only have five clients or when you have 50 clients? And so during that intermediate stage of business you need to be 100% product focused like I am right now. I believe I have a great product. I charge as if I have a great product. And so I need to make it undeniable that yes, I have a good product.
